While not quite GreenDay level, when I went to the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast, the Athletes village was at the uni and the light rail had a stop there, meaning you could well be sharing a journey with random athletes

One evening, a small group of Scottish athletes got on and the rest of the journey became karaoke session of one particular song from The Proclaimers - a good number of laughs shared
