What a fun day. Was meant to work from home today. Started at 9 - 9.30 power goes out. Report it to Powercor, and am told expected restoration time was 1.30pm. Make a mad dash to the office - walk in the door at 10.15am to get a SMS saying the power had been restored.

My last Amazon delivery came from England

I had the choice of paying $50 for "express" delivery which was like 2 days before the free delivery date was scheduled for, so I went with the free delivery option

It then arrived before either of those scheduled dates - bonus

I remember once I ordered something from Amazon and it was delivered well before time, but for some reason they never recorded on the website that it was delivered.

A few weeks later I got an e-mail from Amazon apologizing that it hadn't been delivered and asking if I wanted a refund.
