Couple of tidbits around players we have previously been interested in - Duursma & Tsatas. (Think that was pre sKing though, so might not care about them anymore). Also apparently Twomey said we're no shot with Butters.

Zane Duursma, who the Kangaroos selected at pick No.4 12 months after Wardlaw, is also out of contract and yet to hold meaningful discussions with the Kangaroos.

The 28-year-old is one of 16 Bombers who are out of contract this year, with the majority to be decisions held for later in the season. That group includes former top-10 picks Archie Perkins, Nik Cox and Elijah Tsatas, with Tsatas having been on the radar of clubs last year and rivals expecting Perkins to look for a fresh start if he can't break back into the Bombers' line-up consistently.

Desperately need a quality KPD and a quality small back. Butts from the Crows would be ideal as a KPD, as for the small defender I have NFI but we have been getting cooked by small forwards for years now.

Harry Mc? Seems on the outer at Carlton via either form or direction.

Like you said, we do have our priorities elsewhere, namely in defense, but wouldn't mind sniffing around.

Sounds like we have a small defender or two in our sights for the MSD as well. Get lucky with that and have Butts lined up, then I wouldn't mind if we had a crack at Walter with that stuff done.

The dream would be:

• 1 or 2 surprise packet small defenders in MSD
• Butts as a FA
• Walter and Humphrey from GC

Not very likely, hence 'dream', but that would make our list more complete IMO.

You are usually so on, with how we do with trades and free agency, so I wouldn't be surprised if we actually did that.

Wouldn't think Walter and Humphrey to us is much chance, but it's a dream for now.

Hard to know this year what is even happening, with Guerra, Trac, and May gone we (coincidentally of course) aren't leaking much.

Got even funnier when Cox and Perkins debuted and Essendon fans were convinced they were the second comings of God.

Dons actually drafted really well with their cluster of picks last year, Robey, Farrow and Sharp all look like guns. Hopefully for their sake they don't **** it up. Shame Sharp looks like he could be out long term now after bunging his shoulder, fingers crossed it doesn't have any long term impact. Was playing a blinder to half time.

Nik Cox and Zach Reid both look like they could be very good players. But constant injuries have significantly impacted their development

An all time worst trade. I don't understand how we gave up a second rounder for him, even at the time a pick earlier than 50 would have been generous.

28yo midsized forward who had played 50 career games and 7 in 2023 for 12 goals and 4 assists. Absurdly irresponsible trading. Basically straight traded him for ANB.

He is OOC end of the year, he will be done by then. In what world can the club force people to retire?
