I know he isn’t a ruck but he is lazy in a contest the way he approaches it.He’s not a Ruckman.
The last few games he’s lead, marked, kicked goals, offered fwd pressure, taken marks down the line.
None of those improvements on his early form suggest laziness.
I think its pretty common knowledge this would be Howe's last year.I guess we are reaching the point where we will need an answer from steele, howe and pendles regarding their desire to play next year.
Contract negotiations/discussions usually start from middle of the season .
Really feel like pendles and sidey will maybe want to retire together, considering the number of games played. Think we can extract a maximum of 10-11 games out of each of them next year.
Howe is still playing good footy when he is on the field , given that our defensive stocks are extremely thin and will take some time to build up, it is probably worth giving him one final year to potentially get 10-12 games out of him again.

Is there any news re Joel Cochran getting an extension?I think its pretty common knowledge this would be Howe's last year.
Probably was Pendles, but the tone has changed a bit. He could be willing to play on, but its a long year who knows how he'll feel come Aug/Sept.
Sidey I think could be in the same boat as Howe, except I think we can have players to succeed his role easily. Swadling could be one that could fill that wing role next year.
I can't see all three going around again.
hopefully he does.Is there any news re Joel Cochran getting an extension?
I don’t think lazy is the right word I do get what you mean though. Perhaps complacent is better because he never seems to meet the ball with separation on his opponent. I think it’s because he pulls up the last 5 metres on the lead which is enough for a chasing defender to catch him. You mix that with a chronic habit of marking on his chest and he’s a frustrating player. It staggers me though that he’s made it this far with such significant flaws in his forward craft.I know he isn’t a ruck but he is lazy in a contest the way he approaches it.
Hoping it gets better
Maybe Humphrey is coming to us?0% thats happening to be stuck behind Rowell. Anderson. Miller. Petracca, Graham, Powell maybe even Humphrey, Lombard eventually.
I hope they don't let him go.hopefully he does.
Bit apart from frampton being in talks. we havent heard of anything else yet
then you can add in other mids from the suns he'd still be behind. No matter what happens with Humphrey.Maybe Humphrey is coming to us?
Sorry bud, she can’t be in two places at onceSpeaking of things that aren’t happening. I’d love Sydney Sweeney to be waiting for me when I get home tonight!

2 years at 1.8mill takes him to UFA statusI guess he likes the warmer weather and playing in front 6k crowd and being a nobody in the system
I agree. But I think they actually need some mature leaders to help their young players.Reckon Richmond will be hoping someone like us are interested in taking Jacob Hopper off their books for a late pick
No chance any of those guys play for another club.I agree. But I think they actually need some mature leaders to help their young players.
They should really be talking to Steele, Howe and Pendles.
In the herald-sun it was reported Sidey wants to go again and Pendles could not see an end yet.I think its pretty common knowledge this would be Howe's last year.

I think its easy to say that in May. After a long season, things can change so easily so lets see how they feel come September. In the herald-sun it was reported Sidey wants to go again and Pendles could not see an end yet.
Last year Howe spoke of how hard recovery had become and went around again. I would like one to keep going. Happy to wait.I think its easy to say that in May. After a long season, things can change so easily so lets see how they feel come September.
I think Sidey will be pushed and the other two will get a choice.I think its pretty common knowledge this would be Howe's last year.

Not saying the will. Just pointing out that while they have hit the draft hard and have some good quality young players, leadership of the calibre of a Sidebottom or Pendlebury infield and on the track would greatly benefit their development- just as it would our own.No chance any of those guys play for another club.
Hard pass on HopperReckon Richmond will be hoping someone like us are interested in taking Jacob Hopper off their books for a late pick
The poor bugger. 5-6 years ago his trajectory was Tom Green then he had the knee troubles, moved to Richmond and he’s cooked. Why Richmond would want to shed his salary is beyond me though they’re probably paying Rioli and Bolton $1m+ combined just to get to 95%…Hard pass on Hopper
I really liked him in his penultimate season at GWS. Thought he was poised to become a really good player. The poor bugger. 5-6 years ago his trajectory was Tom Green then he had the knee troubles, moved to Richmond and he’s cooked.
