That's why I'm not sure on him
King just seems an all or nothing type of fwd. Even then, nobody kicks 100+ anymore.
Rather spread the money round & try to get some real talent to play around Nick & Josh.

Unless it's King or a high ceiling kid like Walter - I want Darcy Moore to play centre bounce ruck and then move forward and West to be backed in.

Round 1 forward line:

Moore McStay West Elliott* Hill McCreery Schultz.

* The oldies for some unknown reason seem to come back quicker from ACLs than youngsters do.
If King stays at GC, I'd be keen on Walter, if the Suns' demands weren't ridiculous.
Prior to this season, I'd've supported Moore going fwd/ruck, but can't see him holding up anymore, sadly.

I dont think the way he plays chb is lower risk. He does a heap of full intensity desperation lunges. And if he's high risk of injury you'd prefer him in a less structural import role I reckon. Recruit a defender. Get him right and let's see if we can win a centre bounce hit out and get a few clunks forward from him.

Wellsy played 15 games, we only lost 3 times when he played.

He was such a gun and looked a class above everyone on our list at the time.
Yeah. It didn't pay off, but I quite liked the move. Worth the risk.

We are going to have plenty of cap next season. Neale will take up nothing but cap. He’s a perfect fit for us. And we can probably front load any contract.

I’m not interested in butters at all. His cost is just to high. We’d be left with no capital to plug other holes. I think we can still find a decent mid whilst plugging other holes. Neale plugs a hole temporarily.

Also as good as he has, he doesn’t have anywhere near the scoreboard impact of Bont, Nick etc
That’s the point, it’s not the $$$ size of his contract it’s the duration.
1.5 x 8yrs = 12mill
1 x 3yrs. = 3mill
Long contracts at big money are club killers if rule changes, injury or under performance materialise.

Recently many of our contract extension's at bigger money have been like the old joke about wedding cake and the significant effect it has on the brides sex drive.

Are we talking about Neale or butters?

If it’s Neale, We can front load a lot of it next year.

He’s a welcome addition for me. 0 trade capital. Absolute gun. Very much needed

I remember the melts about Perryman costing 800-900k. He’s one of our most crucial players.

If it butters then I agree. Just costs far too much.

All My opinion. I know a lot on here want butters

I'm with stormskye on the cost being too high for Butters and will leave no levers to plug other holes. Having said that, IF we want to get a player of that calibre, then the 12m contract is just the price of entry. Don't want to pay that? Well, you don't get invited to the party. Club killer or not, that's just the reality.

Also, I haven't heard that joke

They're obviously risky. I don't think you can win without the risk - because other teams are taking the risk and when they pay off - they pay off big time.

The maths doesn’t math. But I’m waiting for the response
Kings preferred victorian destination is Hawthorn as is Humphrey and Merrett definitely
I dont have the salary cap numbers yet apologies but theyll work it out if they all nominate Hawthorn
Acknowledge it mightn’t happen
