Would we want to manic? He’s so hard to value. Obviously has traits given how early he went, but I haven’t seen it. So hard to value trade/$ wise.
Yeah I think so, $750k isn't in the high end these days. I'm not sure he has the commitment but I suppose we'll find out where the club rates him.

$750k is equivalent to what we paid McStay annually as a FA, adjusted for increase in cap size since then.

The issue is more his trade price. We should give them what they gave us for Noble.

Who’s the bloke he’s with?
The rotund bloke seems to get involved in AFL fan experiences (think make-a-wish) and shares it online as if he's got some kind of profession within the AFL, likes to make it look like he's close with all the players lol. Bobby has made posts like these with randoms before, I wouldn't look too much into it.

This is his LinkedIn. Quite the character

I don’t quite get your reasoning here though I like the optimism.

Buller hasn’t shown much, West and McCarthy will come along though no guarantee and Pods has 6 months to show something.

Sounds to me that a key forward is a massive area of need. If we bring in a 33 year old Neale, I want him kicking it to a forward threat. Going into next season with an over reliance on McStay, Buller and Membrey would be a disaster, especially as we are probably losing Bobby and won’t have Elliott for at least the first 8-10 rounds

Our backline is solid and honestly reckon that’s an area we can address at a later stage.

Yeah, bit of recency bias -

We've been getting smacked at clearance - it needs addressing, but it also masks forward issues as your entries are often rebound into an open forward line.

Like we saw earlier in the year - our forwards are going to struggle big time if we get on top at clearance and make it a forward half game.

It’s more the fact that he’s holding a fresh pair of boots lol. If you’re not playing or training you’re not posting that stuff.

Hopefully he makes an appearance this week.
Hope you are right, seen this with Bobby before though and it hasn't led to anything, thinking if he returned to training now he would be at least a few weeks from playing and then a few more before possibly playing seniors, it's a pretty good chance that he won't play seniors this season.

I really hope I'm wrong but I've given up on him ever playing for us again

He's the type we'd like.

That's really cheap, makes me wonder if GC knows things others don't. Alternatively, it could also mean their SC is bulging
I wouldn't see it as a red flag or sign that they've written him off. It's a lot for someone who is a fringe player who hasn't done anything yet.

Picks 1,3,5 ( and first pick following year) for Nick Daicos to Tassie, would you do it ??

I certainly would ( hate it but would )

I would do it, in 2032, if and only if we have given it our best to make at least one more list refresh than the one we’ve now embarked on with him, and that our previous two seasons have been poor and our list clearly lacks young talent for a next flag tilt.

Any other time and you’re pretty dumb for giving up a player who may end up one of the very best midfielders of the modern era for the promise of four maybe excellent maybe poor players and the highest probably only two of them will end up there.

That is of course unless Nick and his agent themselves force our hand.
