Sco - gave a thorough outline of the impossibility of your belief - you should read it.If Hawks want those 3, they will get them 100% - they are ruthless like Saints and take risks, we tend to look at has-beens or older or fringe players and overpay them

Not sure you can compare Flanders, TDK, Silvagni and Ryan to Merrett, King and Humphrey. If Hawks want those 3, they will get them 100% - they are ruthless like Saints and take risks, we tend to look at has-beens or older or fringe players and overpay them
They could swap Watson and GinniNot sure you can compare Flanders, TDK, Silvagni and Ryan to Merrett, King and Humphrey.
If Hawthorn want them, that’s about 6 x first round picks, none of which will be a top 10 pick.
They could probably get two of them if they give up players like Moore, Lewis, Dear, Nash, etc.

Now THAT would be funny. Ginni forced out, love it!They could swap Watson and Ginni![]()

Gruzewski or Calsher Dear would be cheaper trade wise than Walter and arguably have shown as much at AFL levelGruzewski dropped - I know Walter is the chat but I think I'd much prefer Max for a 2nd round pick and take a midfielder with our first than pay our first plus maybe more for Walter if he wants out.
Neale, Gruzewski, Ballard and to keep our first round pick would be one hell of a trade period.
He’s one I always look at and think he would be a good get.Gruzewski dropped - I know Walter is the chat but I think I'd much prefer Max for a 2nd round pick and take a midfielder with our first than pay our first plus maybe more for Walter if he wants out.

Hawthorn are into Walter tooHe’s one I always look at and think he would be a good get.
I’d be happy with either him or Walter.
of course they areHawthorn are into Walter too
They’re like that woman in the restaurant in When Harry Met Sally,’I’ll have what she’s having.’.Hawthorn are into Walter too

Whichever way things fall, I really hope we keep this year's top two picks.Gruzewski dropped - I know Walter is the chat but I think I'd much prefer Max for a 2nd round pick and take a midfielder with our first than pay our first plus maybe more for Walter if he wants out.

He's an instant upgrade on both. He's playing tonight if you want to have a lookIs Ballard any good? If he isn't walking into our starting line up then I am not that keen.
Is Ballard much of an upgrade on Howes? Puncher?

At his best, he's absolutely MILES ahead of those two on proven ability. Across his 138 senior games he averages 2.8 intercept marks per game, which is elite territory. Is Ballard any good? If he isn't walking into our starting line up then I am not that keen.

Certain elite players who know their body won't fail them and are confident that they can sustain this level until the next contract extension will usually play until the contract runs out to maximise their leverage.Umm? More money?
Maybe you should be asking why your club is trying to re-sign him right now on bigger money, then try to figure out why he's refusing.
Geelong re-signed Bailey Smith recently on bigger money even though he was already signed long term.
This is the nature of the industry.

The question is can he get back to that form after the ACL.
Personally, I'd love for us to get him if the Suns are looking to offload his salary.
