Whitlock: too light to ruck at this stage. Maybe 2028.

Dawson: looked good in the VFL today. Would have been an option, but not sure he'd do much better; Pittonett would work him over he just doesn't have the ruck-craft yet. Copped a corky so hopefully right next week. Would consider.

Goad: hasn't played a game yet this year. Managed minutes in the 2s. Looked like his tapwork/jump was off, but he had some nice moments in his limited game time. For such a big person he is explosive. I would expect he is first choice to replace CCJ internally, unsure if they think his game in the VFL is enough legwork. Might be more realistic to see him against Richmond.
