It was a bad contract from the start everyone on here said 7 years? wth
I can understand Taranto & Hopper u know you pay more to get someone out of a club.
But Balta was already a Richmond player we need to get away from these long-term deals. in a rebuild phase we should not be giving anyone longer than 5 years imo.

People are underestimating Baltas' work, he really has only one big flaw atm, his headspace - HE HAS ALWAYS been a creative user of the footy, which sometimes he bites off more than he can chew. Still can play CHF.

agree, just keep it simple and really he is searching for the right role and lucky for both of us we have time.

we have a lot of versatile players, theoretically a tailored role for Balta in a certain dynamic could evolve

This crap experience might help him mentally. If he learns from it.

But if Gibcus comes back and fulfills his potential we will basically be forced to trade a KPD over the next 2-3 years. Probably wouldn't be Balta, but it might be.

He's a part of our history and has given so many good memories this current trash talking makes me sad.

Miller is rapidly establishing himself as a better quality AFL KPD. We'll keep him.

I reckon it's Kozi, Young, Blight, and Gray that we'll be looking at. And of them Kozi is the only one I reckon is not AFL standard.

He's been alright the last couple of games, but he is solely responsible for giving away dumb goals on multiple occasions in most matches this year. But you're right that we'll keep him, hopefully just as back-up.
