Really not happy with the way this guy is tracking.

Was expecting that he’d leave no stone unturned after the disruption he caused last year, but he’s playing well below his level. You get a couple of glimpses of what he used to play like each game but that’s about it.

Disinterested? Preparing poorly and not putting in enough effort at practice? I don’t know but something is seriously off IMO.

Gave up the booze didnt he? Maybe needs to take it back up.

Its been argued to death, but he needs to play KPF now. Its not like he has recaptured his best form down back.

We have depth senior bodies that can play KPD yet we have **** all mature bodies up forward.

We cant have Fawcett, Lefau and Jonty left to compete anymore, the kids are getting murdered and mentally ****ed.

if we're going to kick long down the line all the time, it'd be nice to have him as an option.

He created a target up forward. Although I got a laugh when he had the set shot and goal an I groaned loudly. He creates a problem for defenders with is strength and athleticism. Our young kids get monstered - not Balta.

So leave him there until we can get bodies back.

I dont see the point playing him up forward, why? So, we can lose by a little bit less than we already are?

So, is Balta just going to spend his whole career at Richmond trying to plug gaps but never be a good enough player on our list?

Plenty of other moves he can make that he has refused to, moving Balta to the forward line to kick 1 goal and 3 behinds isnt one of them.

It's more than just goals, he actually made his opponent accountable which none of our other KPFs have done bar Lynch. that causes a big flow on effect. Balta is an actual target up the ground that our defenders can kick to. Have Lefau, Faull or Fawcett even taken a single mark up the line from our defenders? I can't recall one.

It's not like he's shooting the light out down back anyway, what is there to lose?

I just don't see it, he is now just a perennial gap filler, we keep moving him around he is never going to be the player we all need him to be. Hasn't been the same player since 2024.

You make a fair point, but its about the team IMO, not him, and if he was killing it down back I wouldn't move him.

we do, but our biggest hole is in the forward line. That where he needs to be, at least until lynch comes back.

Where do you hide him? he probably needs to stay forward, he sucks as defender imo gets beaten too much.

with his physical gifts he should dominate opponents.

He is clearly a better defender but our current side is lacking an even half decent key forward. He should have been starting forward as soon as lynch went down. Then Faull gets the 2nd defender. Poor coaching

We have absolutely butchered this bloke. He was looking like an all Australian calibre defender till we started throwing him around everywhere. We’ve done it with miller and others also, in some weird quest to make our key position guys utilities.

There has been bugger all great swing men in the history of the game. Why expect battlers to be able to do it. Develop your players in one position and let them get used to senior footy in the role.
