Given the current situation, I'd be taking the pick 20-something off the table and asking just for pick 5. If the safety net is the Hawks deal, then this is win-win-win-win for Essendon, considering Jake was always leaving. Fair play to him too, he didn't have to go so far to ensure Essendon got such good value for him.

I would never pay pick 10 for Dixon - An injury plagued player with off-field issues who struggles against quality defenders. And the GC want more than pick 10.

I am guessing that Hawks will backend Carlisle's contract seeing the cap will increase in 2017.

Maybe this will get the Saints to pull their head out of their ass and wake up, its pick 5 or nothing Saints. Would prefer 4 and 5 than 4 15 and 18 or whatever it was. Also would prefer Carsile at St. Kilda than Hawthorn.

For those that know the numbers what is the better trade points wise?

I kind of like the extra pick given the number of list changes we are making but understand the quality doesnt run as deep this year.
