Super strange how little attention this kid is getting from the club marketing and track watchers.

Grill certainly all the rage.
Don’t think he’s a flashy (not saying as a bad thing)
High levels of consistency are what flags are built around

Agree mate, but the kid has some serious tricks as a genuine mid/fwd and went at pick 3, surely they can offer something haha

Interesting listening to Dylan Alexander on a fantasy podcast. He was saying that within the next 5 years he thinks that Sam will be the best player out of this draft. He compared him to Wardlaw, with his tenacity & suicidal attack on the ball, while also saying he has no real weaknesses once he gets his stamina to AFL level. He also mentioned on an earlier podcast the Grlj will be the best value of the draft.

Might be a case that the kid would prefer to stay out of the limelight initially whilst he settles into the club and the rigours of AFL life.

Think a lot of it is that he has had the no contact hat on so much. For a bloke that is quite contested based, even though he can do it on the outside thats not his A1. Where Grlj, is not in a no contact hat and is probably a more eye catching player when in drills and without needing contest to standout.
