They should introduce this award, maybe through the AFLPA.

There will surely be some outstanding consistent performances by some individuals who are constantly selected as the 22nd man.

I think it'd be a good idea - as long as they set a clear threshold of the maximum amount of games they're allowed to start until being ineligible.

At least in the AFL the sub will probably only play a half of footy (barring injuries); the Sixth Man of the Year Award in the NBA is all the more ridiuclous since guys can come off the bench and play over 30 minutes each game.
