Just recieved the ol platinum membership in the mail as I look forward to season 2007 like an unbridled colt. I've gotta say full marks for the tiger skin...will treasure that, but the cap....err, let's just say it would go well with the ol exacto crew neck windcheater with a pair of grey velcro grosbies, it's a deadset shocker...I'd prefer the $5 bucks it's worth be thrown to the busker that dances to the tune of tigerland on the foot of the social club after a stirring win than another lousy cap...suppose some things are never meant to change huh..

Congrats 25 years continuous membership, Im at 15 this year. My daughter at 4 (seven year old) . I do agree with you about the cap or though I havent got this years one. I have only 1 head so a new cap every year means it just sits around as I prefer the 1993 one I bought from Waverly on the Ansett cup final we played.

Congrats Bo..well doen of the Platinum! 1/4 of a century of service! Sadly Im not even Silver yet as until recenmtly I coudlnt exactly afford an annual donation, (it amounts top that for Tassie members really), but the kids are grown n almost gone and so are those bad old days.

Lets hope the next 25 give us something more to cheer about...hang on...maybe you're the jinx here..lmao

well russ, it goes a little like this, a seasons ticket, reserved seat in M15 (one of best seats in the greatest stadium in the world), a tiger skin towell, and wait for it, a cap with platinum member on the back...To be honest I think they're doing a pretty fair job in recognising long serving members with the free cocktail party and all I ask is that they make the $%#en FINALS....#$@ the cap.....lets hope the next 25 are a bit more colorful than the last...

funny you know tugg....I took footy for granted until '83...couldn't believe how bad we were going then...but it actually drew me in and I haven't really looked back since...sucker for punishment I know, despite #$@ all success, there's still been alot of highlights, albeit rarer than some others have been able to enjoy..I've always believed, THE BEST IS YET TO COME..

wise words indeed, bumped into a fella at work recently, hadnt seen him for a number of years, In the Bombers halcyn days, No kidding he had the scarf with the price tag still on it hanging on the coat rack in his office back then...Fast forward 2006, we catch up..."see much of the bombers these days, I ask..."...nahh he says, member of flemington instead......just about says it all..../and theres thousands like him ...
