Made an off-field mistake sure (love to know posters who haven't), showed excellent signs before then hence recruited so early.

We don't need a pure crumber, just someone who has it as part of the repertoire. Half the Dogs side can shark balls well. It is no good having big forwards if the ball hits the ground and gets run away. Thomas to me is a highlight player, and isn't best 22 so not surprised by him not being a great crumber.
