1- ray should be sacked todays umpiring was pathetically lopsided the suns way and makes the scoreboard flatter the suns may beat buddy because he could scrag him all day etc

2- jetta need to hit more targets drops it short too often

3- reids goal kicking has improved

1. Love it when I spend a game tearing my hair out in frustration and swearing at the tv then realise we won EVERY qtr and finished with a 6 goal win.

2. Good to see the team mates gee-ing Jetta up and getting excited after that long goal. Kid just looks like he need a comfidence boost.

3. 3rd qtr, things aren't working...oh yeah we still have our 2012 forward in Reid, chuck him in there for a lazy 3 goals. Nice one Sammy. :)

1. Can't believe I thought McGlynn would struggle to be best 22 this year. Great move by Horse to throw him in the midfield.
2. Hanners kicking efficiency has really improved, looked silk today.
3. Reid reminded us how good he can be.

1. Sam Reid stood up as a credible tall forward option.
2. Rampe at back was great
3. Lloyd positioned himself to give 1 goal assist and one goal in one quarter

1. Tippett knee injury
2. Buddy bump
3. Benny concussion

So glad I chose next week to drive from melbourne to sydney to see us play the top team undermanned.

The 360 resturant better be worth it because I dont think ill be driving back very happy.

1. It's quite possible when Ben mcglynn enters beast mode he might die on a footy field.
2. Nick Smith is going back to Sydney very sore and sorry but he was so courageous and good today.
3. So glad to see Sam Reid get some for back today even though he dropped an easy chest mark.

On a side note if ray chamberlain is down to umpire us again this year I'm uploading my pay check on the other team to win

1. Cunningham is underrated.

2. Buddy needs to control his frustration better.

3. Ray Chamberlain wont leave another swans game alive.

1. Only seven individual goal kickers. Gee, that's not the usual Swans way.

2. We are starting to instill the fear factor. We have the psychological upper hand against everyone right now, which means errors we commit are shrugged off but errors our opponents commit make them rattled and harassed. Keep it up lads. Opposition flogs can crap on all they want about CoLA. The real reason the Swans are the greatest is that we're so f****** tough to face out on the field.

3. Um.

1. Grundy even though all of the stupid things he does on the field is one of the best defenders in the competition and a very important member of the 22

2. Lloyd is a great sub with his precision kicking (great rookie draft pickup)

3. Reid should be given more oppurtunities in the forward line, very hard matchup when confident

1. Our centre clearance work remains a concern. We need Pyke back.
2. Gold Coast made us look slow at times but butchered it going forward. Port will not be so forgiving next week.
3. We should recruit May or Thompson their KPD efforts were outstanding tonight.

1. We weren't at our best, but learning how to grind out tough wins is an underestimated skill. Hawthorn in 2012 played some pretty, beautiful footy, but lost the granny becasue we toughed it out better than they did. Form will always dip and peak and as long as we continue banking wins we should be reasonably happy.

2. Hanners and Benny McGlynn were top notch. Dan's kicking was surprisingly efficient and he won a lot of his own ball. Benny was ferocious and influential as always this season, but you do wonder what his family thinks every time he runs onto the field. Derickx also had some really nice moments (which you can see have come from confidence and game time), but his ruck works still needs to substantially improve. Against a really strong stopagge and clearance team like GC, it was really noticeable.

3. Franklin will probably go for a week, but that's life and you can only blame him at the end of the day. Why he continues to engage in bumps I don't know, because there isn't a player in the competition that hits people high without meaning to as much as him.

He's like a child sometimes; all flailing arms and over-eager enthusiasm. :p If any Hawks fans are reading, I do wonder whether I'll start to find myself scolding him through my television the more it continues, rather than finding it slightly endearing as I do now? Guess we'll see, when it costs us a game...

1. teamwork continues to grow. The selfless acts of so many, e.g. Smith, Bird, Grundy, even T-Rex, etc, cannot be coached into the players, it comes from a steely collective desire.
2. the Suns are a good side on the rise.
3. Looks to me no Tippet, McGlynn & Buddy next week but games to Pyke, Mitchell & Membrey (or whoever else) will hold us in good stead later in the year.

1. Deryckxkxx is determined but has the skills of a lemon. Soundly beaten in the ruck. Bring back Pyke.
2. Boundary ump was as useless as Razor. Are they all getting paid off ? Last quarter a) it was out b) it was in. Blind Freddy could see.
3. McGlynn.

1 McVeigh still refusing to kick left foot. With about 4 to go in the second he bananered one on his right I to the goal square only fo a sun to mark it. Then he tries a snap later in the match instead of laying it off, if it had of been another player he would have abused the shit out of him.
2 Jetta still needs a run in the 2's , would prefer B Jack in his place as he has courage along with pace.
3 Good to get a good win when I don't believe we were at our best

Jetta was pretty good. He had a few good runs in the first half and snapped a great goal in the third. Credit to GC in second half. They tightened up around the contest. Very little time and space for us to feed off to Jetts. It is important to remember Jettas game is largely based on the hard work of others to get it to him in space. Watching live I was very impressed with the Suns. They are not far away from being a very good side. We know about their mids and defenders but what surprised me was how big, fast and mobile Day, Lynch and Dixon were. Once they sharpen up I50 forward delivery they are going to massacre some sides......

1) Great coaching from Horse Franklin and Tippett were held for a majority of the game and he changes the structure to make Reid, Cunningham our focus.
2) Not playing at our best but still winning against a tough interstate side by 6 goals is a mark of a great side.
3) Having now watched the game i dont think the umpiring was that bad it was just consistent with how the round has gone so far.

1. Thought it was a pretty average performance, but getting spoiled with a 110 point win the week before will do that
2. Team full of run-with players, noone ran with GAblett? McGlynn? Bird? Jack? Cunningham? Did i miss something in the team meeting?
3. Gold Coast have great KPDs. All week we were wondering how many for Franklin and Tippett, but Day and Thompson did well. Of course, we knew that when Reid got the 3rd best defender, he would stand up. Got 3 great goals, should have had 4

1. Can't really tell how good a win it was until we see where Gold Coast finish the season but I thought they looked good and are challenging for the top 4 whilst we didn't look great but beat them by 6 goals. We would have lost that game early in the season so I feel like that's a good sign.

2. We would have won by another 20+ points if not for the umpiring. Too often umpires are going into matches (not just ours) with a "goal" in mind instead of calling things on their merit. Holding the ball decision against Shaw and dropping the ball against Reid should see about 100 frees given every match ... but no, just against us, by Ray ;)

3. McGlynn is a much better midfielder than I thought he'd be.

1. Suns are overrated
2. Ketchup and mustard are not the colours you want on a uniform unless you eat a lot of hotdogs.
3. If they score the next goal, you just feel that they're a real chance to lose by less than 30.
