  • Easily the best win of the Cox era. Especially the last qtr, had the hallmarks of us getting a bit of the familiar shakes...but steeled themselves and ran away with it, certainly didn't do that last year when the suns came at us after a similar first half.
  • Heeney and Grundy were epic again...and love Jordon playing the shutdown role on key midfielders rather than flankers.
  • The finishing of the KF's was shocking and you'd hope they'd do better than that with those shots going forward, but they did do their job competing and bringing the ball to ground. Thought Logan was pretty good in the last qtr and Charlie would've had a pretty good game if he could've snagged 2 of those easy shots.
  • The Rosas goal when everyone else was shitting themselves in-front of the sticks was a huge moment.
  • Even though there was still a couple of too easily broken tackles, in general that was easily the best 4 qtr display of tackling and desperation I think I've seen from this group in a long while.

Logan is playing without confidence too. It’s a shame because he belongs out there, he just needs to believe it. Soon.
He has looked no different from the day he debuted. We are full of hope but his little cameos can't seriously be a reason to think he is going to all of sudden turn into a major contributor. He is disappointing you can't cut it any other way. The goal for us to go ahead by 26 points late masks his inadequacies like 3 50mg Voltaren anti inflams mask my broken body. It is temporary relief not a cure.

I have to say I’m pretty disappointed in curnow today.

Yea the conditions were rough
Yea he competed

I can’t help but feel he is on massive money and he simply needs to be a leader at the club and knock down those shots he’s expected to knock down.

It will cost us moving forward if he doesn’t sort it out

Keeping them to 0 Contested marks is an insane stat. Shows that all the talls all over the ground competed well and all the others when it was their turn.
I think Hammer needs some praise.

He was really decent in a Horses for courses selection

Tbh besides the goal kicking. I thought today was one of his best

Great win. We were challenged, but held them at arm's length all day. Could've made it a fair bit more comfortable had we not fluffed some of the easier set shots. Curnow had a shocker in front of goal.

Conceding 0 contested marks is a phenomenal stat.

96 tackles Swans. NO contested marks taken by the Suns. Cracked 100 and for the moment we're back on top of the table.

Heeney's consistency this year has been fantastic. Such a gun player and he turned it on again today.

Good effort by our Defence up and down the ground. I thought McCartin great game. Bice and Roberts are coming along very nicely and are going to be hard to shift, play their roles perfectly.

yes, indeed ... include the likes of rosas, jordon, wicks, cunningham ... those "spare parts" players (for want of a more dignified description) are playing as well, consistently, as our stars and match-winners ...
and then there's mcinerney, who has clearly graduated from spare parts player (several years ago now) to genuine star and leader

Interesting that I saw the individual performances a bit differently based on POTY votes.

Heeney was superb, but I actually thought Tommy Mac played perhaps the best game I’ve seen from him.

I also thought Roberts and Jordon were terrific - both did exactly what the coaches would have wanted from them.

Grundy - played very well, but I honestly didn’t see him as being among the best on ground. I’m clearly in the minority though!

I love it when we win one that I thought we’d lose. I’m starting to believe!

My worry about Grundy is the workload he is doing only 4 games in.
