Need to find out who the Hawthorn physios are to get advice. He has troublesome hamstrings just as Cyril used to have, they taught him how to change his running style and he hasnt missed a game in 2 years. We have seen flashes of what Conca can do and I am glad he is going around again, fingers crossed for him.

My highlights reel is impressive too, albeit shorter.
That's the point of a highlights reel.
They aren't going to put in a few dropped chest marks, the tim,e he failed to chase and endless weeks of blank footage while he was sidelined with injury.

Just don't get it either. One year at best. Even without injuries, while he is an in and under player and can maybe tackle, it is outweighed because he has always turned over the ball, he can only kick it 30 meters, poor decision maker and he was always too slow (so he can't be a tagger) and the modern game needs quick players. None of those deficiencies can change. He is Matt Thomas with hair.

Exactly, a guy with his injury history should not be getting multiple year deals. It's nonsense.

I’m happy with this. If you look to when Reece was fit (2013) he was a consistent player for us. He’s rugged and gritty – the type of player we lack but he has some class as well. His hamstrings since that 2013 final have let him down massively. I actually thought in last years pre-season he looked as fit as he’s ever been and then went down with that hamstring injury against Port which was the beginning of an injury ridden disaster start to the year.

If he gets his body right and can play more minutes in the midfield our depth running through that area of that ground starts to look a lot better especially (and I’m going early) we bring in Caddy. He’s a best 22 for me when fit – he started showing signs in the VFL last year when he put some games together.

So here's a thing.

Conca had only played 15 games less than both Dion & Josh (80, 95, 95)

All drafted in the top 10 in the same year (6, 7, 9).

If we can get them all firing, Reece included, this draft will be considered a blessing for us.
