Good today but still not good enough.
Gets a game next week, but watch him get caught out and people turn on him again when he shows his true colours

Hes not good enough, was lucky to get a game today but credit to him today, he played well.

Please retire this Bloke to vfl- honest toiler but hasn’t got it butchered it again today don’t buy the fact he was better after half time
in an error ridden game the only thing reece butchered today was the reputation of a half a dozen.of his keyboard critics who were proven wrong once again.

Lets see next week. Hope im wrong but he is like ticking time bomb of liability.

Hes a bit like costangna used to be, you cant have him in the back half where turnovers result directly into goals.

He works better up the ground in the middle when he blasts the ball long into thw forward its okay. But dont rely on him giving silver service type passes.

Were you at the G today? I only ask this because the camera missed a lot of Conca's best work. Conca (and I am not a big fan but credit where due) was quite influencial in the centre after half time. He also put his body in great positions a couple of times and took the hit. Only experienced players tend to know how and when to do this. Might have got his shit together but I say that without a lot of confidence.

One thing for certain he does NOT belong in the back half. He’s a depth player not in best 22 but if he does play it has to be in an inside mid role. Houli and Short have the small defenders positions covered while Grimes and Broad can play tall/small absolutely no reason for Conca to be back there.

Yes...never understood it myself why reecey was back down there...
Assumed it was about team structures...

Conca is a bit like Shane Edwards. Go back a couple of years and the amount of shanks he did was excruciating. Conca has a similar style kick. Except when he goes for the dinky chip, he tends to kick it low and hard. The kick to the centre of the ground was very risky, but came off. A player like Grigg would never had made that kick, hang time.
Confidence is a massive thing in a player. Look at Edwards now, easily our most creative kick (the one to Higgins was amazing).
Conca had 25 possessions, 12 handball receives, so he is running linking up, so important in a side who's normal running link players like Grigg and Lambert haven't been doing it, although Lambert was better this week. Also missing Prestia. Plus he hits hard and tackles hard. But he has been out of form and ran into it a bit yesterday. The amount of fumbling forward of centre yesterday was ridiculous. We should have won by 40pts plus.

Reece is a mid, plain and simple. It was killing the team and him playing back.

He may not be best 22, but atleast playing in the guts, we get the best version of him.

He was very good yesterday and whilst his disposal was shaky at times, he still went at 79% for 24 touches. Thats as good as any of our mids most weeks.

The jury is well and truly out, but I am sure if he can finally play out a season, he will make it.

Strange decision to have tried turning him into a back I never understood it either,
If you have suspect kicking skills backline is the worst possible place to play if you turn it over more often than not the opposition scores.
As another poster mentioned if you kick a floating helicopter as a midfielder into our forwardline while not ideal it still gives our small forwards an opportunity[/QUOTE]
