I have never ever rated Heppell. Always felt he was grossly overrated by the media and bombers fans. Has been exposed the past few seasons as a bit of a plodder.

Has never been a good kick of the footy. Is a tidy inside player, one grabs it but is one paced and kicking skills are average, always have been

I think he has always been overrated but I can see his good traits too. Disappointingly too I met him at the GF last year and he was a really nice bloke who wanted us to win.

I have always backed Conca, and consider him a very talented footballer. I may be wrong, but Miles won't be the player replacing him if he falls short.

He was overated early days but the skills were there and it seemed only a matter of time before he became one of the games elite. I think a better gameplan would help a lot of their players.

Did you watch the VFL yesterday?
CEllis can play multiple roles ... just none of them any good.
Ineffective in the midfield, ineffective across half back.
Poor for a third straight week at VFL level.
What was the excuse this week?
Lack of pre-season?
Family problems?
Injuries that no other player has?
Simply no good.

LOL ... you tell me Shane Edwards is elite yet has two top 10 b&f finishes in a career.
So what does that tell you about the b&f.
It's difficult to dispute that Miles was in our top five players all three years. He would have won it in 2014 if he didn't waste half a year in the Twos.

I'd suggest 17 Essendon District or Loddon Valley league clubs o_O

No I didn't watch the VFL yesterday, if Ellis was poor then he needs to do something to turn it around.

It tells me that the B&F isn't that big of a deal when it comes to labelling players as being good or not. Brandon Ellis finished runner up 1 year. Vickery has a top 5 finish as well.

Miles has been tried as a high half forward and has struggled to impact, he hasn't played as a rebounding defender because he can't play the role. So thanks for proving the point that I've been making about Miles not being picked because he lacks flexibility.
 
Corey Ellis provided plenty of class and poise off half-back, collecting 25 disposals.

I'm not going to trawl through games to find when he has played there but he has played there. If you say he hasn't just gives further weight to the belief that he lacks flexibility to play different roles, hence why he is not being picked

I think you'll fin he's likely been one of the most consistent player we've had at senior level, but you'll continue to nit-pick his game to deflect from the non-performance of your poster boy CEllis.

If only you understood Ellis isn't my favourite.

As for Miles I don't disagree that he was a consistent player. The issue is that he isn't suited to the current gameplan and its quite possible that Ellis isn't either.
