Yeah, I have been saying it as well. Love Maric, but it’s definitely time to bring in someone new. Who’s best we could target?

I was keen on Stafford when he got the ass from the Dees. He was a dogshit forwards coach but did great work with Gawn before that as ruck coach. I just read he has gone to the Pies this year as ruck coach.

Damien Monkhorst was always a highly rated ruck coach. He's at Norf now apparently.

Naismith is at Freo. He'd be good. Goldstein?

Someone who actually had ruck craft, not just a big man who tries hard.

I think with Ryan he is a big man with little actual aggression. He needs get mean and angry and build his core strength. I mean seriously it is all I would do with him for the rest of the year and preseason. Squats and core exercises that build balance. That way he can learn to not be pushed away so easily.

I would then also start telling him that he needs to be smarter in his aggression. Open handed palm strikes in around the ground ruck contests can be defended with "Well he is hard to move so I have to put all my effort into it".

In all this rambling, he needs presence on the field. Not this meek shit.

I played golf with a 3 time premiership Tiger yesterday and he wasn't a big wrap for Samson. Said he is an awesome kid but just doesn't have enough grunt in him, needs some mongrel.

Will never make it. We all know it. The real question is would anyone in their right mind trade for him? We would prob have to pay half his ridiculous contract and get a token 3rd rounder

no chance, there are better options in every team in the vfl if teams are that desperate.

Shaun Griggs ….premiership Ruckman dont laugh it has as much credibility as Chris Newman as a forwards coach

yep. I've been one of his biggest critics from day one, I dont know what they see in him, nearly 7 foot tall and can't take a mark, gets pushed around like he is 40kg, and has no mongrel......anyway.

My understanding is that they see more future in this kid and are trying to get him up to speed.

I hope he does click and proves me wrong.
 
Ole Muppet hands is straight back in for OHB?? I thought the big O showed some real fight against the Giants. Still has a lot to learn, but at least he was having a solid crack! With this selection choice, the cat will be well and truly out of the bag now as clubs are going to realise that we are tanking in 2026!! :p:p:p

It certainly looks that way at the moment with such a lop sided w/l ratio tipping deep into the red...
But I reckon Yze is on a hiding to none...
Coach of a side hated both by the AFL and the Umpires...and their rules...
Having to start his tenure with a rebuild...
Started with new assistant coaches....
Started with senior players not buying in...
Never had the best side on the park due to a bad run of injuries...still growing...
So many young inexperienced players battling to learn the game...
Lost the best CEO in the comp...thanks to the AFL...
Lost the best AFL Coach in the comp to GCS...thanks to the AFL...
And the Club has to cope with an extre side in the Comp and what it does do to draft picks and playing lists...
It's a wonder he hasn't had a stroke with the way things have unfolded...
Who would you have coaching the side now...Voss or Yze?
