to be fair, I think he’s proven he can ruck but he’s historically struggled to compete and hold his marks in contests around the ground. Does it come with confidence?

A crazy decision at the time.
Pay him out at the end of the season and move on.
Been saying it for 2 years, he’s shown no development since being drafted

hes got to be completely retraded, you get a chance in the seniors and what do you do whack someone for no reason and get a goal kicked to destroy all momentum

Obviously not a great prep for optimum performance but he may be one of the worst to ever do it.
 
Those of you who were at the game can appreciate the deafening ironic/ Bronx cheer when Samson actually took a mark in the 2nd? quarter. Was hilarious to hear. Cant say I can recall another similar in all the years I've been going. The port flogs around me were completely dumbfounded by it. Btw 34,000 on a gorgeous day at the G........what a disgraceful crowd you bandwagon softies!

It was the same as all his other marks though, he had to double grab it. He cant take a normal mark.

Can recall David Honybun getting the Bronx cheers v the Swans at the MCG in 1990 as he left the ground early in the game.
To his credit, big Dave came back on, racked up 20 possessions and kicked 4.3 to be one of our best and went on to play a lot more good games for us, despite chronic back problems.

Gotta feel for Samson in a way. He shouldn't be on the list, but thrown to the wolves off a horrible preparation today.
He dished up what we've come to expect, which is more the issue. A three-year extension must rank as one of the greatest dud calls the club has ever made.
