You know things are bad when you find yourself watching 'Mellow Music with Cameron Daddo'.
It is part of my evening ritual when I am cat minding; smooching music, loud purrs in the background while I am on BF. You find my posts are a lot moderate around that time.

Cloke has no-one but himself to blame. Bucks has always defended him. Obviously Cloke has fallen out of favour for more reasons than just not kicking goals. He was booted out of the leadership team for a reason. He has been playing in the seconds for a reason. It has to be about his attitude and maybe the fact he feels he is entitled to play in the AFL because of what he did years ago.

He is a senior player on $800,000pa. I dont think it is unreasonable for the club to expect alot more from him, both on and off the field. You cant blame anyone but Cloke. He knows what he needs to do to be part of the senior team. So just do it.

edit: He even admits psychologically he struggles. Well, that being the case, I have absolutely no confidence that he will ever play good footy again. He will be too fragile and will not get his confidence back.

I wonder how much the photo scandal has had to do with his fall from grace.

Just in terms of his relationship with Bucks.
i doubt that would be an issue. Swanny did the same thing. Either way, it wasnt as if Cloke didn't get an opportunity start of the season.

Cameron Daddo does have a very soothing voice.

Sorry but this fits the occassion. upload_2016-6-9_20-51-12.jpeg
And some lighthearted humour can't hurt either before tempers flare up again.

Yes. When they play Elvis "Falling in love ", my cat looks at me like he is willing to have a litter of kittens with me

By the look of it, a very dispiriting end to Clokey. His form has been tapering for a while, but critically this year he stopped producing the hard work on field. If we couldn't rely on him to kick goals, we could at least rely on his outstanding work rate, and his contested marking. But there was always an element of risk in giving him the 5 year contract in 2012.

I think he had to be dropped. If our year is gone, we need to plan for the future and he is not part of it. Hopefully his departure when it comes is more Lumumba (minus the princely references) than Beams.

The most level headed post I'll see all night...probably week too if the Pies get flogged by Melbourne!

Jeez this really would seem to be the end for Trav at Collingwood. I'd say it's seems to have come really fast, and in a way that's true, but in another way it's been a long slow death of a thousand cuts since 2013. Last years bursts of good form were the last twitches of life.

I still think us signing that 5 year deal was a massive sliding doors moment for us. Imagine what we could have done with that money and the draft picks we would have got from Freo.

He has given some great years of service to the club. As a premiership player, club champion, and All Australian he should always be warmly thought of. But, I think it's the right call to move him on at the end of this year.

Maybe he can go to Freo or Richmond and play some good football there, but I honestly doubt it. I don't think he has the hunger to turn it around, but maybe a change of scenery will refresh that. Ross might be able to get something out of him, although I think Ross would have even less time than Buckley for some of what you glean Trav might be like.

Did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts?
Hot ashes for trees?
Hot air for a cool breeze?
Cold comfort for change?
Did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

I am sad that it's come to this. Trying to work out what's happened/going to happen is part of how I'm dealing with it.

It's not easy being Collingwood at the moment. It will turn though, just not sure when...

I wonder whether the Bombers would give him a go? Next year when they get their players back, they're still short a key forward to work with Daniher. If Trav and us mutually agree to end his contract, he could walk there via the PSD.

Would suck to see him play for another club, but hope he can find somewhere if that's what he wants.

What I dont understand is that Clokey's form has been declining quickly, not like in the space of a season but the last few seasons. Question is why? Has the game passed him by? Low on confidence? Doesnt like the Collingwood environment in terms of being at the CFC? Time for a change?

Nice song.
Of course Trav has already song this one...(something Bucks has never done)

Bucks is more familiar with this one...
