Sadly he is not part of the Future. So unless he wants to play in the VFL most Weeks then He will leave
Wouldn't speak too soon, jury is still out. I hope he stays.

It's a dumb decision to trade Cloke. He is the perfect player to compliment Moore over the next two years

Sadly?

With all due respect TD, you have been one of the biggest critics of Cloke on this board over the last few years. Why have you changed your mind?

Was Buckley there to witness his magnificent match winning performance?
Yes he was up in the old social club with a few players and Balmey.

I still remember poor Fraser getting smashed every week because he had no one to give him a rest and let them bash around for a while.
The last thing i want to see is the same thing happening to Moore. Trav should be in the forward 50 if for nothing else than to make sure Moore isn't getting physically smashed every week.

The Bulldogs supporters think they will get him for a 4th rounder, Pies paying some of his wage.
Wat? They know he's contracted right? Why would we trade him if there's no incentive to do so?

Because the Club doesn't want him Apex and he probably wants a 2-3 year contract.

I am with jmac he is the perfect player to protect Moore for the next couple years.

l do not want cloke traded, but to help moore he has to be better than he has shown this year to be honest

It doesn't matter if the club don't want him. If there's no incentive in moving him on then the club may as well keep him for the extra year on $400k and see what compo we can get if he leaves as a FA.

Any suggestions from opposition supporters that they'll get him for a nothing pick and we'll pay part of his salary are nonsensical. It's hard to believe that trades like that are even thought up...

I think the club has got it spot on, Cloke is contracted to the club and he has a year to play on his contract, he is a required player . If Trav wants to leave then he will have to make it happen and CFC won't agree to the trade unless it is beneficial for all partys involved.

unless both parties agree, club and cloke he is going no where. club will not let him go for a crap pick nor should they

Whilst I hope that will happen, I am reminded of the Beams and Aish trades. If a player wants to leave and nominates a club, they will get there contract or not. The Mccarthy job has shown what happens when a club tries to play hardball

A small practicality: Cloke is contracted till next year, so you are proposing a only 1 year extension for Cloke?

he looks cooked,
as a supporter, and my unqualified opinion I have seen him in decline for a few years now. no worries there as it happens to the best of them. those key position forwards cop a hiding and to be honest, he could never be relied on to kick clutch goals.
thanks trav and hope you can get a few games and help out the young blokes for the next couple of years, we should not trade out this guy but get the most out of what he has left to give.

or cloke could do a witts and say no as well. who really knows what's going to happen, l know l don't
its all a guess by us in the end

I think this is a different situation, remember Mccarthy is not playing any footy for either club and that could happen again next year, I believe he still had two years to go in his contract when he left the club. Cloke is turning 30 and won't want to sit a year out of footy and I imagine the club of choice wouldn't want that either. CFC hold all the cards IMO.

The Beams and Aish trades ended up netting their former clubs very acceptable outcomes. 5, 25 and Crisp. 2 second round picks and Bastinac.
We're talking acceptable trades versus insane, detrimental to the club trades here. McCarthy is kind of irrelevant because it's a very different situation to Cloke, but even now I'd expect Fremantle to offer something within reason if he decides he's able to play next year.
