Sad to see Black in this position, he has a lot of ability but he has let an aggressive Wood walk past him when he is every bit as talented as Wood. He just doesn't have the self-belief and aggression to demand the #1 spot. Nobody else can make you the man, you have to demand it and take it for yourself.

Maybe when he was some confidence up - when its not he is a Liam Jones mark II

Black is not "every bit as talented as wood" IMO. Never seemed to have that arrogance and physicality to his game. Those are pretty important attributes for a KPF / Tall flanker. Has great agility, had neat skills but no muscle and little contested marking ability don't help. Not saying Black doesn't have the assets to be a good player, but it takes more than agility and pace for size to make it.
