I had to triple check what site I was on at work after reading that title
Highlights look good. Not taken in the national draft though.. does anyone know the specific knocks on him? Or is it just simply a lack of polish?
No current season stats available
If he does go down the inside mid path there is potential there that he is David Myers 2.0... (in before the LOLs) but seriously snicker all you want, as a rookie draft selection you put that down as a successful pick. Myers would've been an excellent role player in a good team if he ever had the opportunity.
He should have been much more but we would have looked back on his time much more fondly if he wasn't a top end pick. Injury and Knights trying to turn him into something he wasn't severely hampered his output.Myers was a top end pick! Destined for much more than just a role player, that he only ended up as such is the big shame
Man I love Zurhaar. What a brute. Could use that type of fear factor! Is Zurhaar a good comparison? Big lump of a kid who likes throwing his weight around hurting blokes?

It wouldve been good to see where Dave ended up without all the injuries, i must admit was surprised to see him go so highly in the draft but at the time he was a general consensus top 10 from memory. I think his good bloke, clubman, communication and leadership skills probably made him go higher than his football ability shouldve. Although even at the time as a 17/18 year old he was considered a good mover with a booming boot that had great size behind himMyers was a top end pick! Agreed. He was really made for the 80s and 90sI don't love the thin one as much.
I'd prefer to see him play at 100kgs with the porno moustache and long hair.

No need to worry. We're grabbing him too #fejoCyril 2.0
Doubt it was intentional but as a style of player he is a worthy inheritor of the legacy of our only 100 game player in the 39.
We turned him from a lean, fast, wing type with a big left foot - into a big inside mid.It wouldve been good to see where Dave ended up without all the injuries, i must admit was surprised to see him go so highly in the draft but at the time he was a general consensus top 10 from memory. In the end he was stuck between a half back and inside mid. Not quick enough as a half back, not aggressive and hard enough as an inside mid, then spread became all the go aswell
I see Townsend as the best comparison to Voss so far, plenty to work with. His finesse, nous and football craft will be the major things to work on. A hard thing to train
He was never fast but yes we bulked him up and broke him. Saw him play a bit of footy live for WA . His best role was intercept / attacking half back . In saying that he always had decent stoppage skills even though he was playing flank / wing/We turned him from a lean, fast, wing type with a big left foot - into a big inside mid.
The added size bought on injuries. And also reduced speed to use the ball more efficiently like he did when he was leaner.
He was a clear top 10 pick. Watch his Under 18 you tube videos. Highlights aside, he was a totally different athlete. He looked and moved like Chris Judd - West Coast era.
Essendon wrecked him.
