I've had enough of our player's name being dragged through the muck for a crime the police obviously know he didn't commit. So I'd advise the moderators, or the posters, remove potentially defamatory posts, before the Swans' attention is brought to them.

I'm sure there's plenty here who'll have a go at me, but the facts are the facts, and the fact is that our player is entitled to be presumed innocent. Any posts suggesting otherwise here are a clear case of libel.

Actually there wasn't enough evidence to commit, so according the law they are not guilty. I think you'll find the police believed it happened, even the DPP was of that opinion.

The 200k was to stop the media frenzy we are now having. Had it worked it would have been a very small price. Happens all the time.

The 200k had nothing to do being convicted or not.

Where the hell did you pull that stat from?

Rape is one of the most difficult charges to prove - and just because no charges are laid, does not mean that everything's fine and nothing happened.

And because of that, and the attitude of clowns like yourself, many rape victims are hesistant to come forward.

If you've had some sort of experience about what sexual assault victims go through, you would not believe how frustrating the system is, or even how society treats assault victims.

Take a reality check - sexual assault is far bigger issue than a game of footy.

Major factors here are that all charges were dropped 6 weeks after they were laid.

The $200,000 came about some twelve months later.

As others have mentioned already, there did seem to be a few "odd" parts to her story.

Good point, it seems some people want to play it down when it involves a player from their team. I don't care where a person plays their footy, if they're involved in a dispicable act, then they are scum.
