Buster Bill is another player that has fought for his spot.

He just has something special about him. Pounces onto the ball like a panther.
Someone like LT is a future midfielder in my book, while Whyman has that something that makes him a natural in the forward 50. I want him in the side for the rest of the year, and keep him on the ground as much as possible.

He will get goals against good opposition and seems like he won't be overawed in a big game either.

What's going on with Whyman? I can see Thomas and Campbell getting a lot better over the pre-season, particularly since they should have bigger bodies. Is Whyman going to have to battle it out with them for a forward crumbing spot, or do you think he is capable of playing in the middle?

Perhaps Thomas will move into a midfield role? Needs to fix up his butchering of the ball though...

I'd prefer Whyman over Campbell every day of the week. Can accumulate possessions in the midfield and play a role in the forward line. Whereas, Campbell seems restricted to a small forwards role. At his height, you need to be a gun much like Brent Harvey to survive in the big league, otherwise you'll get found out very quickly. In saying that, he has been quite impressive in his first season and deserves further opportunities next season. At this stage I would not promote him onto the senior list - he should remain as a rookie next season.
