Campbell is a mid who can go forward. Really adds to our team with the big boys around him will be super dangerous. Obviously an A grade forward, and looking like being at least a B grade mid. If he grows into the role then we have an A grade mid/forward. Not bad for the 12th pick overall in the 2022 rookie draft.

Very similar to Shedda. Working his way into the midfield like him, clean and quick of mind, those toe pokes are pure Edwards.

His evasiveness in traffic is Edwards like. Hope we leave him in the midfield for the rest of the season.

when the ball was in congestion, he keep doing a little shuffle and moving the ball forward. it actually worked a couple of times. he definitely made some centre clearances look quicker and gave better inside 50 looks.

I reckon that if we get Lalor and Smillie in Seth's speed and agility will create a long term dangerous midfield.

Right now he makes our slow midfield look so much better.

I'd like to try MRJ out inside as well when he is back and fit - just for stints. Keep that speed and evasiveness in the midfield.

Next year's centre mid's in some sort of order should look like Ross, Lalor, Campbell, McAuliffe, Cumming, Hotton, Smillie.
Prestia retired, Hopper, no, Taranto, squeeze him in I guess.

You wonder if Rioli would be a better player if he wasn't asked to do not much more than chase and harass. No player should be asked to do what he does. So whilst yes he is not good enough right now, can't really say what he would be like if he was allowed to play as a mid. I would guarantee he would be a better mid than Hopper right now.

He is elite at pressure. Which is a valuable skill. So on that alone he isn't a spud.

He has a heap of tricks.

But he doesn't score much and is a variable link up player. On all that you can genuinely criticise him.

I wonder if he is allowed to have some midfield time and he is told/helped to get into more dangerous spots whether he will start to be a better offensive player.

ATM MRJ is looking at having other players take his spot. I'd much rather rest Cumming forward than have MRJ take that spot. But Maurice has shown enough to make me feel he can have a long career, if he can get the ball and use it more.

Forgot him. yeah, he looks like a solid mid. Probably more a role player than Campbell. But then I have Seth's zone as elite. I'd be quite comfortable if KMac gets to B+ 200 games.

Right here right now our future midfield is starting to look quite deep, varied and talented.
