Im not sure he can
4th year on the list and only 12 games so far with very little influence or stand out performances to make me believe he has what it takes.

Thinking its his last year

He’s got a lot of good traits and hasn’t really had much of a chance given he seems to always have injury problems. I like him as a player, pacey and has decent skills. Just think he needs a run at it to build self confidence

If he isn’t selected this weekend it will be very hard for him to get a game. I think they should consider trying him in different positions as a last resort.

This annoys me so much. Watching a player drift away because he has not be challenged in a new position. He's a half back and that is it.

The VFL is for experimenting, not for playing VFL players in positions where AFL players could be playing. Put him on the ball in the VFL or at least on a wing. He floats around the half back playing safe football, challenge him. He is not even named as an emergency this week.

His biggest knock imo is he just isn’t damaging. For a halfback that’s not ideal. Holds things up then takes the easy short pass. At this stage of his career he needs to be showing he can run and carry and break lines and/or be an elite distributor with great vision.

36 dispsoals at about 89%.

Doing what he normally does, but Club seem to prefer Grlj and Short.

I'd be disappointed if Smith didn't get a game this year.

This kid has never really had a clear run at it and in 2026 should be given 5-6 games to atleast be given a chance at playing his natural position - Move Short out of there

Not sure he has the athletic or physical profile to make it beyond this season but I like that he has gone back to VFL level and dominated.

I would give him some games over someone like Tresize. Could not be any worse. Tresize has no upside.
