I’m still trying to work out where the gates are.
Is there only one gate leading into the property off a road that’s shared with other station owners and how far is it from the homestead to the road?
I've also wondered where these 6 gates are. Are the 6 gates on Oak Park Station or are some of these 6 gates also on Oak Park Road.

There is 2 roads that lead you to Oak Park Station off of Oak Park Road. From Oak Park Road to homestead is approx a 32km drive.

I've looked on several maps and the fence lines are virtually impossible to find. The only thing that is really visible is 1 cattle grid just before you hit the homestead.

Police are back at property draining a dam.

......In a statement, the police said they would drain a large dam located about 600m from the homestead.
The dam, which is about 4.5m deep, was previously searched by police divers in the initial days of the search for Gus.
“The draining of the dam will enable a comprehensive visual search to be completed, particularly areas with underwater vegetation,” police said on Thursday morning.
“The renewed search of the dam is being undertaken to rule out the possibility Gus may have drowned.”......

Interesting.
Police divers say they can find a small knife in visionless water. And have found pieces of a gun after 20 years in a dirty river.
If they've already searched the dam then this must be a 2nd event after they've been in the water.

There's 3 dams within that area, so I wonder why they are only focussing on just the 1?? Is it the 1 that was reported where a footprint was found, but then ruled out??

The footprint that was too big for Gus?
Hmm unsure of the real reason it was ruled out, just going off what SA Police have stated.

On Monday 6 October, a significant search was conducted after a small footprint was located around a dam about 5.5 kilometres west of the Homestead. The search involved numerous resources, including STAR, PolAir and a tracker. The footprint was subsequently found not to be related to Gus. (Note: This is not connected to the footprint discovered by searchers last week.)

That satellite photo was taken in April 2023 , so 2 1/2 years old. Most likely with the past two years of drought, the two smaller ones are dry now. Of course, they still could have several meters of mud in the bottom, which could be covering a body.

Still gets me there was only one footprint both times.
I think someone mentioned a person could have been on a bike. Would make sense if only one leg was put down but then you would think there would have been bike tracks.
Was someone on crutches?
Was the 2nd bigger footprint found a week after Gus went missing near a dam?
Still, one footprint

Could also have been because the person took one step onto a muddy area and then stepped back out. So hence the one foot print.

Yeah I've been looking at past videos and articles posted and it appears it will be the larger middle dam that will be drained. The others appear to have some water still in them but not as high as the main dam.

It’s certainly good news that SAPOL are continuing the search for little Gus.
It would be interesting to know if he was familiar with the dams. Did he go there with the family often? Was he learning to swim and very attracted to water?

I think the Gus situation has become quite peculiar in that minimal information appears to be available regarding this poor little fellow and the person he was/is. Why?

At least with William T, we knew what to look for in the unlikely event he was lost or ran away.

We are told are group of professionals has been assembled to advise SAPOL and searchers, in terms of what Gus might have done. Why is this so secretive? Surely SAPOL must have considered abduction. If so, how could a potential witness recognise him?

These are the questions l would expect the task-force should be exploring, or would already know about Gus:-

  • How old is his photo?
  • ls he closer to 4 or 5? Those months make a huge difference in early childhood development.
  • Looking at the background of his photo, l see clear evidence of his attendance at pre-school or child-care. Where was he at educationally? The tools he is using with play-dough are often utilised for 'special needs' kids.
  • How tall was he? What was his BMI? This affects speed, mobility, tolerance and endurance.
  • Did Gus have a disability or handicap of any kind? Intellectual, physical, autism, FAS, ADD?
  • If Gus had/has autism, l can assure everyone he could have moved faster than the speed of light! 6 kms would have been nothing if on a mission. I have written numerous support plans over decades for autistic children who are "runners". Autistic kids are incredibly fit and usually are all their lives.
  • Where was Gus being educated and medically monitored? Could he dress/undress himself? Was he toilet-trained?

No wonder people are asking questions. I'm baffled about all the secrecy.

So they (DM) think Gus’ mum and baby brother have left the Yunta property and Gus’ dad has not been seen home at his property 2 hours away since little Gus disappeared.

I was interested in the parts where the reporter said locals have not been interviewed or asked when they last saw Gus or Josh. And Josh's whereabouts are now unknown. So are Gus's mother and sibling. The grandmother "does not want any help" looking for Gus. Police do not suspect foul play. Police are going to drain the dam (which has already been searched by divers).
All very weird.

Oh dear, will Josie be having her firearms removed by police today?

Surely, I know tensions are high but police/searchers wouldn’t want to be on that property today when Josie’s at the point of waving rifles around.
In saying that, I don’t know why Daily Mail persist in going onto the property.

I think it's obvious why. That's what they do.
Yes but there’s other daily mail videos around where they’ve gone there and been told to leave. It’s ridiculous. I’m not saying Josie should bring a rifle out but especially with the emptying of the dam today tensions must be higher and who knows what they might find.

Backtracking a little. If grandparent reported Gus was last seen at 5pm when Mum and sibling were reportedly 10km away ... How long had they been gone? Because it must have been much earlier that Mum last saw Gus. The 5pm sighting is not corroborated by any evidence. When is the last time Mum actually saw Gus? Maybe the 30 minute window of disappearance needs to be widened?
