You could say that from a supporters point of view as well.
Speak for yourself Passmore I was up and about, brimming with confidence…

Sorry, my mistake, that was 1999.

I have it on good authority that we were absolutely wrecked after last week and club was a tad worried and just glad we were able to hold on.
We should have bought in some more pace for Marvel. Hardiman, Banch and Konstanty.

I reckon some smarter positioning would've helped with that. You don't have to chase so much tail when you actually mark the defensive side of a marking contest rather than hoping the ball leaks out to you goal-side. We took some similar gambles against Essendon too, only it actually sometimes worked because our opponent's primary goal for three quarters seemed to be to **** things up

Can't fault the logic at this stage. Be still, my dysfunctional nerves
True, but I think it's the club's logic too. Wardlaw would (not unreasonably) be thinking of a long term contract, and the club would (not unreasonably) be thinking that's a risk.

If both parties are happy to await developments, I think that's a good thing

Was good to have him back.

Didn’t look as frenetic as usual

I noticed that too. Still very lively but more measured

I forgot to mention, after the siren went and during celebrations he was limping off field. Noticed is when he was walking sir by side with sheez.

Could just be a cramp, but I reckon he’s cooked.

Sometimes you just get sore in ways that make you limp after a match and it resolves with normal recovery

How did he look Chad?

As I wrote in the training reports thread, he wore the orange top all day and never looked like he was going at 100%.

My assumption is that he was being 'managed' by the trainers/physios and told to just go slow today and jog through the session.

It’s not inconceivable that they’re training him to play at a lesser intensity to allow him to get through a block of games.
He doesn’t need to be crazy frantic on the field to be effective. Orange vest for the season George.
