Lennon spent a lot more time around Lids over a longer period of time and so was influenced more than the others. He may also be influenced much more easily.
 
I see Lennon as sook and him wanting to leave has very little to do with Lid's influence. Why would Lennon be so desperate to leave even when Lids was going to be traded anyway. I don't buy into these excuses and I hope he now pull his head in and works hard for a spot in the team.

Because it had nothing to do with lids bullying him. He liked lids from my understanding.

But as Ancient tiger already stated Lids was influencing Lennon views on Hardwick cause issues between the pair.
 
Let's face it. None of us really know how team-mates gel or don't. And those who are involved in the club and may know, shouldn't be spouting their knowledge on any rifts anyhow.
However, I have my personal theory (yes, hypocrisy, but as a BF member I am damn well entitled to it!)
Before the trade period someone suggested that one of the big 5 (not Jack) would be traded to break up a (clique / clicky ?) group.
Couldn't see it possibly being Martin after his season, couldn't see it being Cotchin, Rance may be a strange cat but that didn't fit either.
Deledio seemed to be the obvious one.
All the many discussions re Captaincy on this forum - Jack & Rance have their faults but already are "Generals" of their end of the ground anyway. Martin still young, too shy, etc and noone else can really be considered automatic best 22.
So it comes down to Cotchin or Deledio, with many posters believing it should have been Deledio. What if Deledio believes this himself? One of the biggest problems the club has is onfield leadership. I think Maric provided good support to Cotchin but with his absence from the team there has been SFA onfield support for him.
I'm not trying to hang shit on Deledio, but I think it's possible he was head of a group of senior players that may have somehow undermined Cotchins leadership rather than fully supporting him. Just like BF posters, maybe there were a certain number of teammates who felt he would be the better captain. You can still be a good bloke, a great bloke and still be affected by stuff like that and find it hard to give 100% to someone who's in a position you feel should be yours.

Anyway, just a personal theory. Feel free to disagree or crucify me. If its partially true it may mean better team harmony and onfield leadership for 2017.
 
My god theres alot of sh!t being posted about a club champion that has had no issue's in 12 years but his name has turned to shit all because this princess has issue's - Get real guys , No other player has a problem apart from Lemon and even doubt he and lids would be close as lids was always close with Edwards,Grigg,Jack,Lloyd - Lemon doesnt fit that group at all

I'm not saying LIds was like that, but generally Bullies only target one or two and turn the rest of the group against them..

and yes it can happen in work places as well, not ust in schools with kids.
 
I must be getting old but these guys are younger or around the age of my youngest 27 years. My eldest is knocking on the door of retirement in AFL speak.

It's a bit of of wake up call when I think of that.

You invest your emotion etc and project on to guys that when I look at my own are really kids.

Mature age players?

Everyone talks of the teenage years but in my experience that was nothing compared to the 20's. And while I'm at it - why wasn't I told!

Anyway just wanted to say things can get out of focus.

Famously had a picture of Lids on his wall growing up even though he supported the blues. Hope he replaces that with a picture or Dimma or he may choose to put up one of Bodie Miller.

Does seem convenient to blame a guy that left for his attitude. There may be an element of truth in that and not being inside the bubble there is only gossip and hearsay to go by. I hope he works hard because he is more talented than a lot of players who are ahead of him at the moment. Otherwise he will be seen as a downhill skier.

All this stuff on bullying etc is likely a load of garbage. It is easy to get groups that become disruptive without there being bullying or worse. If part of Lids being traded was a disjunction between him and coaching group then OK. Nothing sinister, just that footy players are human.

Lennon: I want to get traded , I cant handle this bullying tactics
Lids: Hey Princess You want some milk you sooky baby

Outcome: Lids Bullying Lennon , Harwick doeant support him and Lids offering Lennon the White stuff ( milk)

You cant change a persons character, Once a princess always a princess

He will be 1 of these blokes that will always blame others for his predicament and never accept responsability, Just let him make his mistakes and call it a failed pick. His chances of making it as an afl player would be less than 10% as its his last year to show he has changed

He has very little idea of what attributes an afl footballer needs.
He convinced the board last year how wonderful Moore Townsend and Yarran would be , yet he trashes a developing young kid whose injury and GF has hindered his development . Has talent with attitude and I believe he can be a massive match winner.

By the way I'm glad Lids has left to GWS as he can send all their kids on the party drug path and ruin their five flags in succession hopes. Lids was a true professional as a footballer , but he was a rebellious pupil of the Chris Newman head wobbling group and rebelled the DH Head wobbling one. This is what I've heard, but couldn't give a damn anymore bc we got something for him b4 he devalued to nothing.
