Pre draft I jumped on the Bontempelli bandwagon purely off his height and phantom drafts before it became evident we had no hope of snaring him. We may have the more AFL ready tall midfielder though in Crippa.

Umm... nah boss... some days I'm tall and some days I'm shorter... you just have to get used to it like I did...

And personally speaking, I can differentiate in height from one day to the next by up to 5cm... I have a form of scoliosis of the upper spine where it drops to one side and drags me down so when people quiz me about how tall I am... I answer honestly with a 'dunno... anything from 5'11" to 6'1

Watched most of this again, I still like what I see.

Many of his team mates seem to get a lot of space as they break from play as soon as he gets the ball and then run away with it due to the quality of the disposal from within the pack.

The other team are watching what happens in the contest and reacting to that, which leaves them at least one or two steps behind and the handballs to space kill them.

Hoping this can be replicated at the highest level.

Don't care for the monster part as much as him being a good player.

Given how much growing he's gone through and fitness to build into that body, I wouldn't be expecting much of him next year, although the VFL games should be enjoyable with so many players vying for senior spots.
