Cripps won't take the mark of the year nor kick goals from anywhere but his highlight reel will be just as exciting as anything Howe or Betts will produce but just in a very different way.

We're only half way into this year and some of the stuff he's doing is like nothing we've seen for.........I don't know........maybe ever.
I'm happy for us to have a player of his ilk at this club but just as happy to have his direction and leadership. You've done well Juddy.

I agree, sometimes it's even just a handball, but how he manages it is ridiculous.

He doesn't just fire out arsey moves and hope they come off either. There is genuine purpose and fast thinking in everything he does and generally when he's involved, good things happen.

We have not seen his type of vision to dish off a handball since the great Greg Williams.
People say Cripps is a little slow??? For a start no he is not, and for a second if you know where the ball is going to be ala the diesel it does not matter.

I told all who would listen that this kids vision was something else ... that handball to Bell for a goal in the second was something that I have not seen since Diesel's days ...

The one really pleasing thing is he looks to be really grounded, thankful for his talent and for his chance.

Gonna be a lot of smoke blown up his ass the next few years ... hopefully he will be mature enough to handle it and even thrive under it.

Don't tell me you've forgotten Juddy already!

I actually was a little worried he'd have a downer after that positive article on him during the week, but nup... maybe he doesnt read the papers.

Judd was and always will be a superstar of the highest magnitude in my book.
What he did for this club, how he carried it for so long without complaint was simply a humongous effort.

The man is a GOD in my books.

But for all his superhumaness he did not have vision with handballs like the great Diesel ... that sort of handball comes around once a generation .... Cripp's is Diesel's heir apparent.

And that is not trying to disrespect the great Judd in any way shape or form.

When you see Cripps move off bigger and more senior opponents the way he can with only a half developed body, you have to wonder what he'll be doing at the age of 23 onwards.

He's only one player though and we need more to come along for the ride and as low as we've hit this year the list is a much tougher one than we had 2 years ago. We'll see where that takes us.

It is his ability due to his size to be able to ride a tackle, wait and then give it off to a teammate running towards our goals that makes him so special. The free in the 2 quarter was the first time I can remember him being caught with the ball. He was filthy with the umpire as he thought he got the handball away. Looked to me like the umpire was behind him and guessed.

Was disappointed that his tackles dropped off in the second half after 8 first half tackles;)

Hoping he puts on 5kg over the preseason across the shoulders, he will then be able to shrug the tackle and his handball will go to a new level...

He will attract a bigger body mid in the next few weeks which will be interesting to watch...

His running is getting better week on week and he is definitely quicker by some distance on last year, running coaches are a must for juniors...!

Mentoring by Bryce is going well....

Hopefully he goes forward in the next few weeks and shows us what he's got up his sleeve, which some have seen!!

If only we had a couple of Ferrari's to go with the Rolls Royce...!

Everywhere I go I see Crippa

Guy at the gym this morning looked like him

Waiter at the cafe looked like him

Whats happening

What are the chances of Cripps getting Rising Star and All Australian in the same year.
AA would probably be a bit too hard this year but definitely fav for the rising star, Brayshaw only danger... Next big thing is the Crippa!!

Scary to think what he could be, if Carlton develop him properly.

1. Vision - Tick
2. Inside mid - Tick
3. Composer - Tick
4. Marking - Tick
5. Speed - No - But has enough speed to get into space.
6. Hands - Is elite with the hand balls.

Like I said the Blues need to take care of him, leave him in the middle and have players like Graham etc around him.

His quickest speed is his footy brain

Was thinking this exactly during the game yesterday. It's brilliant and all that Cripps has come up as a future elite... however one player isn't going to be enough for a top 4 birth in the next 2-4 years. Praying Graham continues to contribute and cements his position in the 22. But also Boekhurst being the outside runner we're lacking. (but apparently he's a dud and we ****ed up drafting him according to the main board).

And then hopefully Gibbs can regain some form :)
Yeah.. what is wrong with Gibbs?

Did a couple of his usual class acts on the weekend.. but isn't anywhere near the form he displayed 2014.

I could see his port opponent constantly trying to push around and get into his head at the centre bounces. Multiple times, Cripps then went on to gather the ball and dish it out for a clearance. Very impressed how he could read where the ball would go.
