You seem to be wanting to fix all the clubs problems by trading at the end of the year.
You cannot do that. Otherwise we will repeat the 2004 10 wins only to crash this year all over again.
You draft players and they take time. Nobody expects them to be champions but Setanta and Hartlett have ability and size and a frame that can stand up to AFL football.
We need to keep all our picks and draft the very best player we can with each pick. We are not in a position to draft for need.
There is no such thing as the right combination. Just the best player at pick 1, 3, 19,35,61,77. The best player in the rookie draft of which we get first pick also.
The best player we can get in the PSD.
The best deal we can get for any of our trades.
Some of our players are contracted and that needs to be taken into account when thinking about gtting rid of them. Prenda is 1 who is contracted next year.

We are looking for class players. Not recycled blokes who when they come to our club are going to suddenly transform into champion. The chance of that is almost 0.
We could get Rowan Jones, Josh Wooden, Stephen Powell and so on. Probably make us a little bit more competitive next year so we might win 8 games instead of 6.
I would prefer to win 6 and improve slowly than trade for 26 to 30 year old players who will be gone in a few years anyway.

We have been doing this patch work style for to long.
