Some of you have probably already heard this but someone (no names please) has confided with me that Hunt will be delisted at the end of the year with a year still on his contract. Some of you are most likely thinking who cares etc. but let's just take a moment to reflect on his contribution to AFL and his commitment to serving the Suns with the best of his ability.

Surely he's a depth player. And certainly not worth paying out a year of contract money

Yeah I can't imagine him being delisted unless he's specifically asked to leave. Apparently is one of the best leaders at the club.

he has always seemed much more committed to AFL, as oppossed to Israel Folau that is. After a very promising 2012 I think its injuries really that have kept him on the sidelines this year. Surely he will be retained on the list, unless there is somethign else we dont know about.

Apparently the Suns will trade Karmichael Hunt to the Broncos for the Broncos first round pick in the NRL draft.

There is a few problems with this proposal that the Suns & Broncos are trying to work out:

1. Karmichael would have to take a pay cut from being a fringe Suns player to an A grade NRL player

2. K. Hunt is may not be worth a first round draft pick at his age & time out of the game.

3. Its uncertain whether young NRL players have any skills whatsoever other than hurting people and imitating turtles with their tiny necks.

4. The NRL does not have a draft system yet. This hasn't deterred the Suns that much as they are fairly certain they will be able to on trade this pick to Melbourne for a first round AFL pick & Shannon Byrnes.

He's been paid a fortune. If we delisted him, not only would he still get paid, he would be welcomed back to NRL or go to Union. I hope we keep him though.

Suns have stated that they would like to keep him, but a lot of talk in Queensland is that the Broncos are going very hard at him.

Its basically up to Karmichael. Either run around in the NEAFL for a year or play NRL.

I don't think he'd have any interest in playing for the Demons and I reckon the ambassadorial payments would stop. Will get good money for a return to the Broncos as well as the chance to play for Queensland and Australia again.
