It's been mentioned that Keighton is the only one of Geelong's new draftees to not feature on any social media posts yet though. Seems to indicate something more serious is going on with him.

It sounds like people are conflating the issue at Flemington (and assault) with a sexual assault/rape that occurred in Geelong.

I have no idea who the identity of the AFL player is, but the incidents referred to in this thread are separate.

Not necessarily. From memory, the media in Victoria is not allowed to publish anything from a sexual assault case that is mentioned in court if it can identify the victim. This is something print court reporters used to take incredibly seriously. Normal rules for identification of the person or persons charged (without the application of a suppression order) do not apply. That said, if naming them wouldn’t identify the victim, you may well be right.

Experienced AFL players are pretty well educated on rehydrating and refuelling post match and know what their bodies need.

Getting drunk from a few drinks post match? Sure.

Getting into a comatose, unresponsive, go to hospital state from alcohol alone in a couple of hours? Nah
