Oh ye of little faith ... ;)

Can't see us making the top four with our forward line, but I don't think we're as bad as Boro says we are. We'll win our fair share at Hindmarsh and spring the odd surprise on the road but I think we're lacking that absolute 'it' factor it'd take to win the thing, right now.

For me, though, they're all pretty interchangable and I'll probably get all eight wrong.

I share your concerns on the forward line, the one unanswered question though is what do Bugeja & Matricciani bring to the equation because they've barely had a game in preseason due to injury. Obviously Veart & Vidmar are not the answer but should be worth a few & Qu will bring that 'X-Factor'. I hope it's enough to just see us into the Four.

To be honest, I don't know your players all that well, apart from Valkanis who I'd say is terrible but Ray thought was your best defender, which is why I have you last.

As will I. It's all just a guess at the moment. I don't think Roar will be anywhere near as bad as most seem to think though. Some very good players with a tactically sound (if a little defensive) coach. They are a lot better than the Strikers side and they finished in the finals last season and were unlucky to be knocked out by Adelaide.

If the Victory havent put a better squad together than Qld Roar then ill bare my arse in Bourke ST.

Boro is there a hint of sarcasm in your post or are you just terribly misguided and deluded and hooribly biased that you honestly think QLD will figure in the top 2 let alone the top 4??

I always knew those banana benders where a tad slow but this just takes the cake.

cheers

I'm actually Victorian so the Qld jibe doesn't really hurt. :p

Roar will suprise people imo. They've got some highly credentialed imports along with some solid Australian players who have played a lot of football together, and Blieberg is a coach who is used to winning.

Victory, well Ernie Merrick is an excellent technical coach, but he isn't a coach that has a record of getting results. I hope they do well but think they'll finish mid table.

We shall see.

Who are you going to support out of the two teams?

Apologies if you've already said, I was probably coming up with another 50 ideas to include Peter Crouch in threads where he doesn't belong.

I'll be supporting Roar, as it's the team I'll be able to watch every 2nd week.

1st: Sydney FC
2nd: Newcastle United
3rd: Perth Glory (got a lot of confidence back after our 5-2 win over Perth SC)
4th: CC Mariners
5th: MVFC
6th: Queensland Roar
7th: Adelaide United
8th: NZ Knights
