A-League Round 1 SFS Fixturing Blunder

Does anyone realise the SFS is double-booked on Sunday 28th August? The Souths v Cowboys NRL game is there at 3pm, and once that's finished they've got about 15 minutes to pull the league posts down, put soccer nets up, change the ground signage, repaint the ground, get the NRL crowd out and the soccer crowd in before the Sydney FC v Melbourne Victory A-League opener, which kicks off at 5pm with that fixture having been locked in for months.

They don't have to worry about handing out free tickets for the match either. Two matches for the price of one! They can keep all the rugby crowd for A-League fixture.

Surely the NRL had SFS on that date long before the A-League pencilled that date in.

Nope, the NRL only pencilled that date in a few weeks ago because they only give dates and times 5 weeks in advance.
