A little help needed...

You know the drop-down entry boxes when you make an entry into a certain field in internet explorer...???

ie. when you type in a username on some site, and the drop-down box comes down showing the previous usernames typed in...???

well... how do you:

1. Clear the previous entries?

2. Remove the drop down box??

They really are starting to bug me now...

Not 100% sure if you're talking about cookies?

If so,

Start Menu
Control Panel
Internet Options
Click 'Delete Cookies' under the Temporary Internet Files Section

At least I think this is what you mean???

No that is not it.

What I mean is say when you use a search engine and u type in "bigfooty" (for example)

Next time when i go on that search engine, and I type "bi" it will have underneath it in a drop-down box "bigfooty".

How do I get rid of the drop down box, or the stuff written in it?

On the XP edition I have that doesn't happen.

TOOLS --->
Internet Options


Then under the Content tab (section), click Auto Complete then click the Clear forms and Clear passwords buttons.

That should do the trick.

Turned AutoComplete off!
