A message to adelaide get grocke!

If Adelaide need a forward who is a hard _rse,then we should have a crack at Adam Grocke.
I've said before how I rate him as a mature age recruit,but the way he hits the contest and is as hard as nails cannot be faulted.
He has a great grab and I believe would be a handy addition to our team as a mature age rookie.
Some may say he would be a waste on our list,but I think he could get right in the mix for selection if needed.
Our forward line is emerging but if Walker or Tippet were to be injured or out of touch he may be good enough to be an option.
He would be the most suited tall forward in the SANFL to play at the next level!

Good player, wouldn't hate to see him given a go at another Club (like Carlton who have no KPPs), but we've got an abundance of talls, so not for us.

I suppose I have been shot down in flames,but I will give you an example of a player who through some kind of miracle ended up playing in a winning grand final.
He is now at his third club and to be honest I previously would not have had him in souths reserves team!
However this season especially and credit to him he has managed to get the best out of himself and maybe its a case of right place right time,but he has achieved the pinnacle of team success.His name is Leigh Brown.
Its hard to compare the two but somebody tell me I am wrong in thinking talent wise Brown would not be infront of Grocke?
Talent scouts are responsible for finding the best possible players they can get their hands on,but just because you select some late pick 18 year old with potential does not mean you have struck gold!
I agree the crows have two very good/promising forwards but there is no harm in finding some insurance.

Leigh already had something like 200 games of AFL experience before coming to Collingwood. Grocke has none.

Not the worst idea. Walker and Tippett are both better closer to goals and would be liabilities out at half forward.

The Centre Half Forwards the Crows could use are Scott Stevens, Shaun McKernan or Phil Davis. Davis I think is much better at half back. Stevens is also arguably better at half back. McKernan is the man IMO.

The Crows could do a lot worse than put Grocke on the mature rookie list as back up to the three men above.

I think if we want for another tall player i would look at Adam Cockshell for a mobile uck option. yes, no mabey? Considering he is strong, mobile and can play forward and ruck macks him a option considering the change of rule
