Any fans? During my teenage years i absolutly loved them. Still rank seeing them Live as one of the Best live bands i've seen.

I prefer APC over Tool anyday as well, More enjoyable In my opinion.

Anyone else a fan? I loved 13th Step (apart from the outsider, good song, but it wasnt really a song for 13th Step)

I went through an APC phase too, like Tool better though.

Must have been about grade 10 or 11 ... haven't listened to them for ages, might give it a whirl right now

I'm a fan too but it was actually eMotive which got me into them. I like that and aMotion (the remixes). The Outsider is a fantastic song, but even better remixed on aMotion (IMO). Mer De Noms has a few good songs, but The Thirteenth Step is better (Weak and Powerless, Pet, The Outsider).

Oh, and I dont really like Tool.

Big fan of both, got into APC due to james Iha being there at Maynard from tool mostly. Found them slightly more accessible than tool in some ways.

I'd never heard of them before and hadn't heard the news about Maynard being in APC when I first heard them, I remember seeing Judith on rage the week it came out, and were that impressed I went and bought the album the next day. Wasn't til I read the album credits I realized Maynard was in it (didn't recognize him with long hair in the clip - when I saw him he had some mohawk mullet thing happening). The funny thing is though, after seeing the song, but before buying the album I'd told a mate that I heard this great song last night and that the singer sounded a lot like Maynard

The Noose would be my favourite song of theirs followed by Judith and Magdalena.

Yeah i have it, its ok, i like the track "The Stone" but the rest didnt really interest me.

From what wikipedia says (and wikipedia knows all) Ashes Divide have broken up, Maynard and Billy are writing more songs for APC. But doubts they will release a new album, probably just singles through the net.

I like tool but i think some of their new stuff is just really weird.

Blue, Weak and Powerless, 3 Libras, Blue, Judith, Pet, Passive, The Hollow, The outsider would be my favs

Bit disappointed that Maynards little self-indulgence in Puscifer seems to have knocked APC on the head

Billy Howerdell had a solo album out recently that flew under the radar a bit ... some killer but a lot of filler ... lacked the edge that Maynard gave his work . Billy did everything except the skins on the album which Freeze took care of

Finding it hard to get into their latest album, Wish it was more guitar orientated like the fist 2 albums but this is mostly piano and drums.

It just lacks memorable, lasting songs, but i do like the music itself and really like the big production on it.

Good they are back though.
