Everyone asks me that. I've never lived in WA. There's no specific reason why i follow the eagles, i just do. Been passionately supporting them since mid-1995. I suppose one of the factors might be that I became good friends with an eagles supporter in Primary school, and he got me hooked on footy. But no, i honestly couldn't pin it down to one reason (my family hates footy and calls me a traitor for following it. Its soccer all the way in my household :D).

And for the record, i don't support WA footy, i support the eagles. If the eagles can't win the premiership, i want a Victorian team to win it (I was really p*ssed off when Adelaide won their 2, and now Brisbane).

I've got a neighbour in a similar situation. He was born in WA, supports Richmond but doesn't support VIC footy. He's got a soft spot for the Eagles though.

I'm the opposite to you daddy_4_eyes I barrack for the Eagles and when we don't make the finals I barrack for any other interstate team that does. I loved it when Adelaide and Brisbane won. Especially Brisbane because they beat Essendon. I'm not A Victorian or a Western Australian but I really love our boys. Im orginally from QLD and could have chosen the bears when they first joined the VFL/AFL in 87 but something drew me to the Eagles and I've never regreted it. I've live here since I was 11 years old so in a sense I'm more a Victorian then a Queenslander although I still go for the bronco's and the bulls in cricket.

My hubby is from Perth but barracks for Collingwood he has a soft spot for our guys. He doesn't really go to the football much and knows that when footy season comes around he won't see me much on the weekends with banner making, footy games and interstate trips. I'll be travelling to my home town in round 20 this year to hopefully see the boys have a real upset win.

Before the Eagles came into the Comp I barracked for Richmond and only went to the footy on the odd occasion. Now I go to all the Eagle away matches and stay till the end win lose or draw I wouldn't be anywhere else. As for Richmond I hate them. Going to the games over here we cop so much abuse from opposition supporters and certain teams are worse then others. Richmond supporters are one of the bad ones and have made me wonder why I ever barracked for their team in the first place. I thank god that we now have interstate teams in footy because it's made going to the games all the more interesting. Pity you couldn't be there on saturday daddy_4_eyes you would have loved it, hope you feel better soon. If you go to the Geelong match lob along to the cheer squad area I'm hoping to have some extra tickets to hand out to eagle supporters to fill up the area. The area was chockers on saturday and boy were we loud. Hope to see you there. Kodie

Try and imagine how i felt when WA played the Big V in state of origin footy. On the one hand we had eagles players representing WA, on the other hand they were playing against Victoria. Who to support  :D

My sisters godfather is a geelong supporter, so if he goes i'll go with him. But I'll be walking home, cause if we win he'll drive off without me, and if we lose i'm not getting in the car with him :D

I heard you were in the cheersquad, and if i knew what you looked like i might have seeked you out to say hi. One day i'll go up to you guys and get me the free ticket ;) I've had a good run this year in getting free tickets to games :D
