Why have we been shafted with time slots this year?? Where are all our Saturday Night Games???

We get 1 Friday Night Game & 1 Saturday Night Game this year.

Next year when our crowds go up, with better time slots and the move to AO, Vlad and the SANFL can sit back and point to the rise from this seasons fall in crowds (with the worst timeslots we have ever had) and say their decision to move AFL to AO saved SA Footy.

Knowing were never going to get more than 1 or 2 Friday night games I have always thought Saturday night was best for us and we should really make them ours, maybe we negotiate a trade of our Friday night game for a few extra Saturday night games in place of any Saturday early afternoon games or something. Im sure the AFL would love an extra all Victorian Friday night game.

Saturday afternoon is obviously no good crowd wise and Sunday games we also miss out on any of the Sunday morning panel show coverage.

You would think next year biggest team at the new stadium they would give us a lot more but who knows what they are thinking. I know we cant push for everything we want as fans but I really hope this is something the club works very hard on getting.

As long as we don't see a Rucci led campaign to give them to Port and us their Saturday afternoon slots because "they need it more" and "for the good of South Australian football" with the AFL agreeing and assuming we will get big crowds to bad time slots at Adelaide Oval because it wont happen.

Any Sunday game, and especially the 1:30 Saturday games especially blow. but I'm starting to really like the 4:10 Saturday games, it gives me a chance to get stuff done during the day, go to the footy, then still go out after.

I hate the twilight games, whether it be Sat or Sun
I like Sunday.
Saturday can go to hell.
Umpire during day, it's 1/4 when I finish.
Can't get to the game and miss half of it if I decide to skip work.

Because the TV schedule dictates when we play, not crowds.

Yep, ever since the nighttime slots became more popular than Sat arvo, our night matches have dwindled to a bare minimum. The AFL know that we're the kind of club that will quite happily take whatever we are given, as we think by sucking up we'll get preferential treatment in the future. Unfortunately the AFL realise this and choose to take advantage of it.

Freddie is right unfortunately AO won't solve much, at best we get a slightly better stadium deal to make up for the fact that the AFL couldn't give two hoots about us.

Not only is the scheduling terrible but then they expect you to pay $5 for chips or pies pasties etc, $8 for a beer, $30-$40 for a ticket, plus parking, I can't go to a game and spend less than $100 and that's for one person. Considering Foxtel is about $55 for a month and you can see 36 games minimum the prices are ridiculous. The AFL have sold their soul for the TV deal and wonder why the crowd numbers are dwindling.

Then at AAMI, the booking system stops us from booking certain seats (10 tickets mind you) because there was one ticket left on the end of the row. Of course you can book that extra seat that you don't want or sit somewhere else (only area that it allowed me to book my 3 game membership ticket was the alcohol free area). Then they have the nerve to not allow us into the northern grandstand when its pissing with rain and its only half full. AND they wonder why people don't go to the games.

AAMI Stadium you can go and get f****d, ill watch on TV from now on

Definitely prefer the Saturday night time slot, if not Friday. I watch all night games (regardless of who is playing) - and 'half watch' the games during the day - i.e. have it on in the back ground. Prefer to watch us play at night (on tv - I live in Perth) - better atmosphere and a few more bourbons.

Going to the coll v crows game in rd 16 Friday night at the G. Can't wait.

Not a big fan of the early games I still go though.

I don't mind Sundays as I can go out Friday night and have a recovery day watching footy on tv before being back Sunday.
