i heard judd give this kid a rap earlier in the year can someone tell me some more about him
not just weight & height
leg speed
has he still got a year as a rookie to go???
best position
was injured for a while what was problem etc etc
thanks roly

Massived tank. Runs yourself into the ground, then go again type efforts. Quick, but not lightning.

Run-all day midfielder/wing, but might lack the something "extra" to succeed at AFL level. Good level-headed kid too. Will give it his all.

wasn't he the fastest kid in the draft? or at least tested first for a speed test of some sort.

Finished a clear winner in the agility test at last year's draft camp. Finished equal fifth in the 20 metre sprint too. ;)

Last measurement I have on record is he was 170cm small and weighs 76kg. A long way to go before he is worth a try. He may grow another 12cm if they keep feeding him those delicious Visy cardboard boxes:rolleyes:

Saw almost all of the bullants games this year, and surpassed David Ellard as our best new rookie after about round 7.

Like it was mentioned hes a midget, but hes lightning quick and he does run all day. Decision making is ok, but his kicking is the only question mark, in particular set shot (hes no M Richo in front of goal, just hes major weakness).

Played mostly on the wing and had a crack on ball at times, and occasiionally pinched hit at HB & HF. Like all little guys he relys on his 1%ers coz he cant play KP, but does more than his fair share.

When the Oppo had a decent midfielder playing, AJ played on him. so really his go is a tagger. When he played on Robin Nahas, Port Melbourne (who the blues are a little keen on), AJ gave him a bath and sat him on his ass whenever Nahas went near the ball. He has a bit of a reputation is a tough bloke, but he goes harder at the ball.

started the year off fairly good, before getting injured & form slump mid-season, but then returned later in the year to be a good contributer.

His best game of the season was undoubtably in round 2 (against coburg at PP maybe, not sure), along with Ellard he won the ants the game with gut running in the last quarter, he set up and kicked goals when needed. Tho he did get a few big goals when the pressure was on through the season so he seems to stand up when it counts. Played really well in the ants' losing final and was very emotional after the game, so he does have a heart.

In all hes a good small player he has plenty of ticker and does all the team things....but hes just so freakin small...

Hope that helps, cheers

Hopefully he can replicate this in training with Nahas. I'd love to have that bloke on our rookie list as a back-up for Eddie. I thought he was pretty good in the midfield for Vic Metro with Murphy a few years back, but now he's really improved his kicking to AFL standard and is lightning fast by any standard.

Saw him play a few games. Impressive when he got the ball - fast, nice skills and a bit of Eddie Betts brilliance. Very inconsistent - goes missing a lot still. But from all reports has progressed well this year and is very promising. He'll play a couple of senior games in 2009 I suspect. We really do need an opportunist to help out Eddie. Losing Eddie late this season had a huge impact on our performance. :)

Must be a few clubs interested in Nahas given that he got a state screening. Very clever pacy FP.
