Some of his shots are downright freaky. Has a strange stance but it allows him to play his shots quicker. Played Tait with ease most the time.

edit.

Oops thought it was about hit batting. His undoubtedly your best fielder.

Huge AB fan here. Saw him play really well in the Test series against the Poms, stood up so well for a kid of his age.

On his fielding yes, awesome. Perhaps not as good as Symonds in the field yet, but it wont be long before he's better.

Apparently could've chosen a number of sports and been a success at the highest level.

- Rugby

- Golf

- Tennis

Don't mind Border, but I'd say he's past it these days. OK form in Beach Cricket, I guess.

Definately where Aus and SA have an edge over teams like WI and SL going into Semi's time.

Ponting, Symonds, Clarke, AB, Gibbs are 5 of the finest.

I think Ponting is no.1

Well they say he's a scratch golfer even though he doesn't play much and when he was 11 that tennis place in Florida where Agassi trained tried to recruit him but his parents declined. They also said he could have played for SA as a fly half in rugby but Gibbs was meant to as well and he could run the 100 in 10.7 seconds. They need more cricketers like them.

AB is an exciting talent but he plays for the choking team as others have pointed out and muppet will hold him back!!

umm that pitch and ground was hardly a test of his batting quality.

see how he goes on a wicket that isn't officially the worlds biggest road with everything, absolutely everything in his favour.

I agree Devilliers was sensational the other night ...it's a shame he plays in a team of chokers :o
I don't think a group stage game in the WC can be considered much of a choke.

the knockout stuff is where such taunts hold relevance.

the result would likely stay the same regardless.

Despite it being a road, AB did show flair and he's very young. For that matter it downgrades Hayden's performance or any other innings there as well. Bowlers who adapted did well. Interesting that some of the very good bowlers of the world mainly thrive when the wickets suit them. Why should it be any different from the batsmen? Notice how SA produces bouncy, seamers for their bowlers but they struggle on flat surfaces. Their averages are flattered as a result. But equally someone such as AB has had to open a lot on decks radically in favour of the bowlers. He said himself that SA is a good place to bat down the order but the sub-continent and these flatter wicket venues are good for opening.
