Judd-Magic

What about:

Ablett - Power
Hentschell - Chapman

Don't worry about Walker as he and Brown are decent enough emergency back-ups at least. But the above trade clears out 2 donuts for 2 guns!

I could go

OUT: Ablett, Rich

IN: Murphy, Mitchell

which I really like as this would leave my midfield as Dal, Judd, Murphy, Mitchell, Gibbs and Selwood (Beams, Barham) and I could then trade out Beams for some cash if a cow presents itself.

OR

I could go, over a 2 week period....

OUT: Ablett, Petrenko, Beams

IN: Sewell, Hodge, Cockie/Sheldon/De Boar

I like this option as well as it would only leave Rich in the midfield as the only player that have starting under $400,000. I could upgrade Rich in a few weeks time when he gets to $400,000+

I don't really know which option to go. Thoughts?

Hey guys,

I'm also in the position of having Ablett and being unsure whether to trade him or not.

I'd first like to post my team and gauge the opinion of you guys as to exactly which of my players you consider as keepers after I bold which ones I think are and put in italics possible keepers.

Backs: Gilbert, Cornes, Bock, Adcock, Malceski, Houlihan, Hurn

Mids: Ablett, Delidio, Hasleby, Cassisi, Cousins, Rich

Rucks: Cox and McIntosh

Forwards: Pavlich, Higgins, Richardson, Giansirucusa, Ziebell, Reiwoldt, Skipworth

Have $34k in the bank and am thinking of trading out Ablett as I could use the cash to splurge on other areas and hopefully buy him back afhter 5-7 weeks.

What do you guys think of a trade of Ablett out to get Coughlan in? This would give me $550k:eek: in the bank which I could use to get Franklin for Richo or Hodge for Houlihan for example etc.

Sorry, I've jumbled my post up a bit but thoughts from you lads?:thumbsu:

Im having a hard time deciding whether I should get Mitchell or Sewell??
Sewell is more expensive but has better consistency on SC so far, and hes a tackling machine. Mitchell is a little cheaper and has been scoring well the past few weeks.

Help anyone?

That will free up some money to upgrade Richo to N.Riewoldt.

This week is a nightmare, Ablett, Richo and Lucas all in my team :mad:

What was your trade Prompts? :D

I usually do my DT trades early in the week as I don't care about that so much.

I traded Ablett out for Dal Santo and Dempsey for Newman.

I wish I had my DT team in superocoach and the amount of trades left as the team is going great guns (ranked 1000 and something) :)

Robinson ---> Power
Skipworth ---> McCaffer

Have only $400 left in kitty...lol $400 not $400K.... so it was the perfect trade...

Next week will be monster trades for me...

Rich ---> Judd/Dal/Kirk/Cross/Kornes
Ablett ---> Judd/Dal/Kirk/Cross/Kornes

Still deciding whether I want to trade out Ablett...

Lovely trades there Prompts.

I don't think you even need to trade out Ablett now that you have picked up Power.

I want to pick up Power as cover for Ablett but not sure how I can do it.

I have spud Otten to fill in for Ablett, not super confident with him and Rich on the ground. :o

$400, you rich man you. :D:thumbsu:

Do you dig my sig? :)

Rich and Otten both starting is much better than Walker and Brown, and I know given I've been playing all four for the last 2 weeks :o

LOL! Ouch! :D

Yeah that would suck dude with spud Walker and M.Brown both on the ground. ;)

I ****ed up and put both on the ground ahead of Ziebell a couple of times but now Walker is a permanent bench warmer and he can't even do that properly cause the bench is still ice cold. :o

Nice signature.... nothing wrong with Otten starting..for now.... my midfield is:

Bartel, Goodes, Power, Rich, Otten, Ziebell [Ablett, Beams] -

If I do my Ablett trade next week, I'll be:

Judd, Dal, Bartel, Goodes, Power, Ziebell [Otten, Beams], but I don't really want to do it...LOL...then when I bring back Ablett (ie Ziebell/Otten to Ablett/Anthony) I'll be:

Ablett, Judd, Dal, Bartel, Power, Goodes [Beams, Anthony] - pretty dangerous, but that will cost me 4 trades instead of 3 to get a scary midfield...

However, not sure I want to use the trades.....

I have M.Brown starting....

LOL Walker and Brown (to a lesser extent) are terrible..

lol, why wouldn't you start Ziebs over those 2! Least you have seen the light.. Now for a trade lol.

I'm looking to move Walker to J Brown (through ablett trade), but he still is getting a game! Didn't think he was a favourite of Craigy's.. especially in the Melbourne game!

My trades this week:

Keeping Gaz

Hasleby --> Power

Foley --> Judd/Mitchell/or Sewell

Who do you think I should trade Foley for? Mitchell and Sewell are going awesome and have weak oppostion in coming weeks. However, am leaning towards Judd as Hawthorn are starting to get some of their guns back over the next few rounds which may change their roles in the team and effect their scoring.

What do you guys think?

Hawks players to return are all backs. Won't affect Sewell's scoring and probably not Mitchell's either, though he's spent a bit of time at half-back lately. I would go Sewell over Mitchell because Mitch struggles with tags.

Well it does, due to the fact that SC only has a set amount of points per game.

So if other good players return and/or guys like Buddy and Hodge find form it will affect scores from Sewell and Mitchell. Unless they start to dominate like the Saints and take the majority of points on offer.

Thats exactly why things might change. Whilst being interviewed earlier in the week Mitchell said that he had been playing that sweeping role for the past few week. So my line of thinking is that backs return, Mitchell goes back on the ball which may effect his score AND Sewells score

'On The Couch', he said he only went back there because of his calf soreness, which he said hampered his acceleration/speed.

Despite what he said he hasn't spent that much time there, still plenty on-ball. Personally I don't like Mitch for SC because he generally needs 30+ touches for a decent score.

IMO Sewell will play the same role and the same TOG regardless of who comes back. He is now the Hawks best inside mid by a fair margin. Scored well in two games where Mitch played solely midfield as well.

I didn't mean they will continue to score 150 pts a week. I think they'll both average 105-115 though.

The players to come back are Gilham and Birchall. Neither are likely to rob Sewell and Mitchell. Croad, Ladson and Ellis are miles off. Historically Buddy robs Roughy not the midfielders and I wouldn't be holding my breath waiting for Hodge to find form.

The Hawks only have two real clearance winners, Sewell and Mitch. Occasionally Lewis wins a few but he's mainly outside. Therefore I think they will continue to score pretty well, because they're basically doing what they've always done, only Sewell is doing it better than he used to.

Anyway, that's just my opinion.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i will most likely be trading ablett out as im going good overall and dont wanna fall behind, i can trade ablett for dal santo and then upgrade hurn to any defender thinking drummond or fisher this is my team.

goddard, c. cornes, hodge, hurn, houlihan, gilbee, petrenko (broughton, cheeny)

ablett, judd, selwood, goodes, rich, hasleby (beams, robinson)

cox, mcIntosh (jacobs, spencer)

goodwin, pavlich, delidio, fevola, krakour, higgins, m. brown (warren, thorp)

15 trades left 634 overall, wat do u think any better options? good move?
cheers.

I think the mitchell/sewell debate is kinda irrelevant to you woofy. u should just get the juddmeister. i cant believe he is so cheap at the moment! IMO he will definitely be top 5 SC avg by the end of the season, maybe top 2.

I think quite a few of us (me included) are not exactly sure how SC works.

To my knowledge there is a set amount of points on offer per game.

So strictly speaking an effective kick isn't worth exactly X points or a hard ball get is worth Y points.

So in essence anyone can rob anyone else of points.

Teams dominating will have the lions share of the points, hence Geelong and St Kilda have a few players with high averages, however you will notice that not all the guns will dominate in the same week, the Saints with NDS, Goddard, Roo, Fisher being a good example.

At face value, a gun premium in a crap team would be a good selection. However not too crap to the point of being shit and he doesnt get enough of the ball.

Anyway i'll stop blabbering now, but hopefully you see my point.

In each match there are 3300 supercoach points to be distributed between all the players. So unlike in dreamteam, if there is a game involving the Swans with lots of stoppages / less disposals then each disposal is worth more than a game in which each team gets 400 possessions.

Anyway i'll stop blabbering now, but hopefully you see my point.

I understand your point. And I understand the whole 3300 thing. I just think there's a misperception about the players that the Hawks have coming back and the effect that they will have. To put it simply I think Mitchell and Sewell are quite capable of continuing to score well even if Hodge and Buddy fire, a la Ablett Bartell Enright Johnson, Judd Murphy Fev Waite etc. I guess we'll see:thumbsu:

It does make you think twice about how many players you take from each team though.

Yes and no.

If i take 4 guns from a premium team like Geelong or St. Kilda atm i know on average they will still get 400+.

However taking 4 guns from a mediocre team might not be as rewarding.

I dumped him totally , bought in Bartel and when Ablett is ready to come back i will dump a cheapie and bring Ablett back AND keep Bartel .
