Keays talked up big time by Shifter Sheehan; inside ball winning quality, big bodied left footer with zip around the contest. Then Wallace pops him up to #9 in in Top 20

That might be overstating it just a wee bit. Strong for his age a more realistic appraisal. IMHO.

Buzza had a big game vs Aspley in NEAFL. Came 2nd in best.

Aspley tried to intimidate him with physicality and they instead got owned apparently. Buzzas are a family of hard men. Pro Boxers and footballers. Seems Wylie has the same 'competitive' streak..

I hope we Rookie him I the hopes that I can hear a commentator one day say "Big Boy Buzza kicks the goal!"

I'm just noting this for posterity as the first time I've ever found someone wanting BT to commentate a game.

I really like Buzza as a ruck/forward option for us. Plays with a lot of Mumford like physicality that would really help our group and his chase and tackle are something which the opposition needs to fear. That is also a reason why I hope we pick up Weller. He is another who gets in there and imposes himself physically on a game and opponents need to be very wary of. Those kind of players cause turnovers even when they don't quite get there. Go back and look at the Qld v NSW game and the number of times that Buzza and Weller were in the vicinity when an errant kick occurred. Weller made a few crunching tackles on the weekend against the NT and there were a couple of times when a turnover resulted.

We need a harder edge and these two could be a step in that direction.

I hope we pick Weller up too. Not eligible to next year though is he?

Or maybe that goal just before the siren - "Buzza beats the buzzer".

Seen a lot of Buzza over the past two years. I can see the attraction and why he was invited to the state screening, but for me there are pretty big queries on his game that I'm not sure will translate to AFL level. Overhyped big time around these parts imo.

Way to be a buzzkill.

(sorry, had to do it)

similar to keays this time last year? what type of player is he?

Allison rated much higher than Keays ever was. If you are looking for a comparison it would be closer to Mills last year than Keats.

He is a big bodied midfielder who can do the spectacular. Really good hands who marks the ball nicely and can roost it a mile. The kid looks great ATM.

Awesome, stoked with this Academy. Hopefully every year, it produces kids worth top 5 picks. The only problem is that it will wipe out our whole draft this 1 kid

Gubby post.

Gubby post.
I've been as big of an advocate of QLD talent around these parts for a while. Just giving my opinion. I didn't say I didn't think Wylie was a good player or didn't have upside, simply that I think expectations surrounding his potential should be tempered somewhat. We've all fallen for over-hyping Qld talent in recent seasons..

Hmmm... think that was a joke, hence the word buzz(a)kill. If he doesn't rate him as highly as some others do, don't see what the issue is.

Are you related to him, friends? You seem to have some agenda in regards to Buzza, unfortunately we aren't Lions recruiters so it doesn't matter how some people view him, only the clubs opinion that matters.

It was a joke. TLL has a lot of runs on the board around here and no clear agenda for (or against) a particular player.

I don't even know what "Gubby post" is supposed to mean btw...

I assumed a "Gubby post" was a post that overrated a player on the basis of a combination of a few good highlights and being with the Lions, somehow slipping a backended deal in there as well.

In which case TLL wouldn't be the one I'd think of as making Gubby posts.
