Your statement of he was 100% sure and was wrong does not make him a liar. He believed he was telling the truth (EPO sutff) and when he was wrong apologised...there is no lying.

Thinking someone is on EPO and hearing a opponent say the premiership is in the bag are two different things. I think you're a little touchy that the Geelong players are almost as cocky as yourself.

Its a form of pyschology. The bulldogs players would have thought themselves a premiership chance at that stage, so Scarlett(assuming he said it) was simply reinforcing in the bulldogs minds that their dream was shattered and they were no chance of winning a premiership this year.

Pyschology, mind games, sledging or whatever people call it. It would be very common amongst many players on gameday. Every little edge helps. I don't really see anything wrong with it as long as it doesn't involve family, children etc.

2 posts ago you were saying it was 100% a lie now you cannot imagine it. The simple fact is there arten't a heap of peopple who would know the truth.

I could easily imagine Scarlett saying it to rile the opposition, whether he meant it is another story all together.

I'd trust Aker, a bloke who was on the field at the time, over people like Caro and Hutchy and then Arch and Garry just taking a stab. Aker's got nothing to gain by saying it. Scarlett obviously said something sh*thouse to Bobby Harvey so I would definitely suggest he could have said it for sure.

So you can't imagine a situation where players from both siders are sledging each other and one of them (Scarlett) decides to put the bulldogs players back in their box by lauding over them the fact that Geelong are on track to win back to back premierships whilst the opposition are trying to get into their fiest grand final since 1961? FINAL word on this guys, i have the scoop and you can believe me or not, but this is how i went down, i have 0 reason to lie,and personally am happy i know what happened so the case can be closed

during the match, scarlett was having cracks as banger, calling him a "washed up old cu**" .. went on and on, and banger took it all during the match... nothing heated really went on with those 2 during the match

after the game, they shook hands and scarlett could see by the way banger was looking that he was a bit annoyed by it still, but banger said nothing of it and congratulated him on the game. scarlett decided to call him a "washed up old cu**" again, and that's when banger called him a "fu** wit"

end of story. scarlett has 0 class (as we already knew) and banger decided he didn't need to be spoken to like that, AFTER the game was done and dusted.
